The Panthers won't sneak yo on anyone this year nor will they be over looked. The team has some ol iinjuries ,retirments and F.A. leave. John Fox looks like the real deal though and the team has a solid running and passing game to go along with a super defense.

The Falcons have Vick back but their defense still is weak,Tampa has had a lot of turnover on the defense and over all looks weaker. The Saints are a under achieving bunch that could get their act together .

When the dust settles my money is on the Panthers to get back into the playoffs where anything can happen including beating the Eagles once again in the N.F.C. title game.

I think the Eagles are the most interesting story this year. Will they be dominant as many have suggested or will they be like the 2004 Lakers … all the right pieces but no heart to win it all?

I know I am the eternal optimist, but I really think the Chargers can be the surprise team this year, the defense is much improved, Philips is a very good defensive coordinator, and all the young DB's should benifit from a much improved pass rush. I like Igor, Ball, and Bingham, they will all be improvements for the Dline that we didn't have last year, and the linebackers are looking really strong and fast.i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif
We have an improved O line, LT, and alot of good receivers who should do the job. Brees will be better this year, one reason is Reche will catch the balls he was dropping last year that killed drives, that will allow Brees to get into the flow of the game better. A young QB like Brees needs to play for longer than 3 and out, to develope a rhythm for the game, I expect him to be much better this year.

I'd be happy if we go 8-8 and show signs of improvement. Who knows though-- they play the games for a reason i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif!

Did you hear that the Dolphins are suing Ricky Williams to get back over 8 mil dollars from his signing bonus? That should be interesting to follow. I actually used to think the Chargers should have sued Leaf but I guess you can't sue someone for having a bad attitude.

I gotta go with the Seahawks here, they looked darn near unstopable against the Chargers and they have developed so much over the past few years. They have good WRs in Robinson and Jackson, and they have one of the top RBs in the league in Alexander and Hassleback has proved himself to be an above average QB. Their defense is underrated and I expect this team to take their division with ease and then make some noise in the playoffs.

I don't think it's that they have no heart to win, they're just snake-bit, like the Chargers have been for a few years.

I read a while a go that they had it written into his contract that if he goes walkabout he has to pay them back their money... Genius!! I'm guessing that'll bring him back to the NFL next season, the Dolphins will probably then trade him and crazy Al will pay him a fortune to wear Grey and black.

I think the Panthers will again be challenging but I don't see them going back to the superbowl and as for the Eagles... I'm sure they'll find some way of losing before they get near the big game.

I had the Seahawks last season at fancy prices and think they may be in a better position this year, but I guess whoever I back will be off to another iffy season.

THE PANTHERS ARENT GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL. MAYBE PLAYOFFS, BUT THATS AN IFFY. THEY LOST THEIR WHOLE OFFENSIVE LINE FROM LAST YEAR. THEIR RUNNING GAME WILL BE STOMPED. CAROLINA REPEAT? NO WAY. ------TEAMS THAT WILL GO ALL THE WAY..... EITHER THE BENGALS OR DETROIT LIONS. WATCH

If the Bengals or the Lions make the playoffs that will be news. The Lions have a ton of talent on offense but they are so young and QB Harrington may need another season or two to blossum.

I like the chances of the Ravens. They have the solid defense, a strong running game, and two solid lines. It may turn out that the young QB does them in but they won it before with a mediocre QB and with all the rest of the piece's they have, they may be ready to do it again.

urlacher54 says Lions and Bengals - that's a bold prediction! What about those Bears?

No, Carolina has alot of holes. Last year noone knew too much about them to be able to stop them. All teams now know how to defend them thanks to NE and I have to say they will be lucky to win 5 games.

The Panthers aren't gonna go to the superbowl this year because everyone is ready for them and also with the performance they showed against Green Bay it looks like its gonna be a long season for the Panthers. Especially sins Steve Smith their star reciever being injured.
