I agree...I live in North Hollywood in the San Fernando valley and have to go to a sports bar to see them.

Without the ticket guarantee I'm screwed this year. I used to be able to see all the games both home and away with a $20.00 set of rabbit ear antennas on my TV and the picture quality was as good as cable. Now my only option is to go to the games because I live within the blackout area in Orange County. Unfortunatley, the northbound traffic on the 5 on a Sunday evening is brutal so it's not really an option. The NFL needs to ease their archaic rules on blackouts especially for people who live in a large urban area like Southern California and the Chargers are the only team within 500 miles.

I've been in Mission Viejo about ten years. A company consolidation closed our San Diego office and moved some of us to Orange County. I lived in Scripps Ranch and Rancho Bernardo and worked in the Mr's A building for over twenty five years prior to the move. I kept my season tickets (Section 7 / Row 6) and drive down for every home game, but have been looking for a place to watch the away games and will try Dave and Buster's soon.

My names Chris and I've been a fan all 24 years of my life. I live in Mission Viejo, but am from SD originally. Both sides of my family have a rich Charger tradition, so its no wonder I turned out the way I did. I used to get a lot of crap for being a fan, especially from my Raider friend(I didnt know he was a fan when we met!!!). So yea, I've been noticing a lot more fans around lately(gee I wonder why???). Anyway, Oggi's Pizza(there's one right by my place and one in HB) seems pretty Bolt friendly, they have giveaways and stuff, plus a pretty cool place to watch games. Hey Guys, this is Joe from Anaheim, I too have been trying to set up a Booster Club in OC. I have been a Chargers fan for about 14 years. I have seen other Booster Clubs in Orange County, and I thought it would be a great idea to have one of our own. The Raiders have there clubs at Larrys Pizza, not a very friendly place if you are a Charger fan, I had plenty of fights there with other Raider fans there, but I still keep going with my Charger Gear and my head up high. Nationals Sports Bar has there clubs too, Steelers clubs are there, the Faiders of course are there, Green Bay fans and the list goes. Last season I was there watching the games, with like maybe 3 other people, just isnt fun when you are rooting for a team with a fan base of 4, if that!! Some other places in OC have there teams represented very well, so I too would be interested in helping set something up. The year before last I would watch the games at D&B at the Block of Orange. That was all right but again with a fan base of maybe 5-6. I work partime at a Bar in Anaheim called the Sandbox near Katella and Harbor. It is at the Desert Palm Suites Hotel. The owner of the bar is from San Diego and is also a Charger Fan, I watched the playoff game there, and any other games that were televised. If Interested I can ask him if we can get something going on here. I am sure he will not mind. I am also opened to any other meeting places ie. pizza parlors, bars, etc. Please let me know drop me a PM

I lived in San Diego before moving here. Oggi's was one my favorite places then but I didn't know they had a franchise in OC until I saw Chris' post. I'm munching on a Mighty 690 slice right now! Thanks Chris!

We kept our season ticket and drive down for the home games, but would be interested in meeting with other OC fans for the away games. I'll keep checking this site for details.

Lightning in Laguna Niguel! Hello fellow O.C. Bolt brothers! Stumbled on this thread. Let's get it together. I am a season ticket holder, 6 seats. I usually catch the train in SJC (Charger Xpress) on game days to old town. Trolly to the stadium is included in the price of $38.00 round trip. With price of gas so high it's a good deal. What about the fox sports grill in Irvine Spectrum for a place to meet during games? It's more of a central location for most of O.C.

Im ready to go and its only June....it must be the NFL network!

Its nice to see that I'll have a little more love in the room when I go to the local pub to hunt the away games down. The good news is that we are finally going to get some airtime from the TV folks and see a few games without trying to track 'em down at the local Raider's National Sports Bar and Grill.

Im a season tixs holder Field 41 Row 21 and I make the journey to Denver every year to bring Charger pride to bronco town. I would love to grab some games/beers with some fellow diehard fans.

For those close to Garden grove....there's a spot called Jacks Bistro (owned by a former Redskins lineman) that we could easily take over and call Charger home.

Last Season The Faider Booster Club Was Held In One Of Those Rooms, And I Have To Give It To Them, Then Had A Nice Set Up. They Watch The Games On There Own Big Screen Tv, Plenty Tables And Chairs And I Believe The Food Was Catered? They Had A Mc There Giving Out Door Prizes And Give Aways, Now The Exact Price For This I Am Not Sure Of? But Its Something To Look Into. this past thurs. we had our first ever chapter get together at nationals sports bar near angels stadium . its was a great turn out and again i want to thank those who had made it in such short notice !!! we had a good time getting to know other charger fans in our nieghborhood who also represent charger football . nationals sports bar did not know that we were to have our first meeting there but when the manager got wind about this he put aside reserving us 8 tables along with two pool tables for our new orange county inland empire chapter ( thumbs up nationals ) . i have been getting some feed back from quite a few other charger fans who were not able to show this past thurs. , what i want to say is ( no worries ) we again will be having another team meeting way before pre-seasone starts . we are still in the begining stages of putting this together . logos , chapter name , banners were some of what we touched bases on . we will be getting together for the pre-seasone thurs. night game on aug. 11th 5:00 pm chargers vs. packers game . oggies pizza in orange ( orange mall ) maybe the place to watch this game but before this we want to check it out first to find out if this place deserves our chapter there . the other topic was our first tailgate party get together for the chagers vs. cowboys game . we will be planing the seasone together so keep in touch . voice your thoughts on the threads to show us that you are serious as we are in helping to create this chapter . . .

I am a Long time Charger fan since 78. I reside in Huntington Beach. I am a lucky season ticket holder. Football is what it is all about and the Chargers having a good shot to take it all this year is very exciting. I think that the Chargers have made some serious moves in a positive direction and are very modivated to being on top this year.
I was at the training camp in Carson last year and watched the chargers practice. I heard a lot of grumbling and took a lot of heat beacause I believed that the Chargers had made positive moves. Many mocked me and now those many want to know if I have any extra tickets to see the Chargers. I don't.

She did call while I was in San Diego cause I had left her an "Eat your heart out", good natured "ribbing" kinda voice mail about being in camp in San Diego with the temp in the mid to upper 70s, going down to the Pacific, the Mexican food, the nice people, taking pics at TC, getting meet some of the players and staff at the hotel and etc, etc. We'll be planning a get together soon out here and Roo you're always invited.:Beer: Just let us know when you plan to take that "Carolina Cruise". Unfortunately, Seaside doesnt have seafood, but it does have KILLER burgers & big cold schooners. Its on Main st, where there are a bunch of bars & restaurants. I live 1/2 a block away, so I have alot of choices when it comes to where I watch the games. Clancy's is next door, a dive bar, but they have food on Sundays. We usually go back & forth between the 2 (wearing our Raider Hater shirts of course!)

I would be willing to travel as far as Huntington to meet you guys. Let me know

Pulled this out of the OC Register on Sept. 7,2005. Three Sportsbars in the OC that are pro Charger fans are Mr. Mikes Goodtime Grill in Santa Ana.( Katella and Beach Bl.) ESPN Zone in Anaheim (Harbor and Ball??) Taps Fish house and Brewery in Brea.(Glassell and Orangethorpe). You can always find
some Bolt brothers at Oggi's pizza in Orange.

Stadium Brewery in Aliso Viejo - I have not been there in a year, but they have a good breakfast buffet until 1:00 pm.

Corner Office in Costa Mesa - Near the South Coast Plaza and 405 hwy. I have only been there for college games, so I do not know what it is like on game day.

If you go to a sports bar Newport Beach, I would steer clear of sports bars on the peninsula, as I have found them to be Raider friendly. I remember a Raider fan resembling Kid Rock grabbing the napkin dispenser at our table and throwing napkins all over the place when the Raiders got a first down one time. Disgraceful.

There are a couple in Newport Beach not near the peninsula on Jamboree Rd. near John Wayne Airport: Trophys and The Cue. I have not been in them, but they are freeway close.

I don't know much about north OC or really far south OC. Hope this helps

Cirivello's in Long Beach has all of the games. It used to be a nightmare (Raider Puke's EVERYWHERE) but now it's pretty well spread out and not too many problems. It's a good place to hang and watch everything. They have a restaurant that is OK for families and a large bar area for the legal ones. You'll find me bellyed up to that bar every week!

Place called Original Mike's. It's in Santa Ana BUT (hehehe) it's an amazing place. Good food, great drinks, and a sweet atmosphere (has a bunch of old-style cars in the actual restaurant, etc.)

They even have live music in the afternoon/evenings on a huge outdoor patio.....

Huge TV's, kick-ass bar and there's virtually nobody else there to watch the games on Sundays.

My aunt runs a sports bar in Lake Forest called Players Sports Grill. It's a Steelers bar so don't plan on going during the Pittsburgh game haha.Players is in Laguna Hills...off Moulton.

though i dont have a whole lot of cash to throw around .. i do make it a point to check almost every sports store i walk into .. what i notice is that i am seeing alot of Charger gear this year compared to the past years .. there are two sports stores located at the Westminster Mall that you should check out .. plus the Buena Park Mall also has a sports store that carries the goods also .. sorry that i dont know the names of these stores already mentioned but Champs sporting goods is another store located at the Brea Mall !!!

nothing much bro .. just keeping busy until the seasone starts up again !!! hey i was checking out ( off campus ) in fullerton with some coworkers during that last regular seasone game against the turds and noticed that this place looks to be up for the taking if we were to continue our saga for us north orange county charger fans to meet and represent for this up coming seasone !!!

( off campus ) owners had sold this pub back in early feb. which is now called ( the cantina lounge ) i think they are almost complete with remodeling but i have yet gone by to check it out .. i was told that this place was gonna stay fucused on the college crowd and to continue to serve as a sports bar !!!

a 14hr. day !?! lol ( crazy ) but i know what you mean but sometimes it can be a sleepless night before game day which sometimes turns into a 20hr. strech but hey my wife is also cool with it !!! myself and bros always fire up the grill also after the game to help soak up the rest of the alcohol that was consumed before kickoff .. besides that its best to hang out and to be the last ones to filter out of the stadium cause sitting in traffic sucks =)

Last year we had multiple Beer Pong tournaments in between our cars. That got plenty of attention! (both good and bad)

I can't wait for opening day! I'll probably even go to the preseason games, as i'm going thru Charger withdrawls. Hopefully we can meet up for a tailgate party! (And I know at least a couple of you on this thread will be meeting up in Denver for week 2!!!)

We had about 5 to 6 hundred people there and I worked the grill
for about 5 hours. All that was missing was a cold beer and a charger game! Must of cooked about 3 hundred pounds of asada and chicken.
Hope the chargers look as good as big daddy nation wide did!:logo

Now that the preseason has started, I will see plenty of Charger fans at the ESPN Zone in Anaheim. Next weekend will be the beginning of the beginning to Super Bowl 43. Looking forward to meet any Charger fans in the 714. Orange County loves the Chargers.:21:

Whats going on my fellow *714* Charger Fans! Where is everyone watching the games this season (for those that dont have season tix)? Myself and Dmercado70 tried to put an OC Booster club together, but sadly we didnt have anyone interested. Anyone out there trying to form a OC Booster Club for the *714*, I mean (1*714)* We were getting together at Fox Sports Grill at the Irvine Spectrum, had a few good turn outs, but the drive was to far for others, well if anyone is recruiting for a new Booster club or going to a certain spot where Charger Fans dominate the place, then please let me know, thanks

Oggi's on Alicia is cool, but not just a charger place (its chargers sponsered). Faiders and donkeys go there too as well as a variety of all football fans. Great beer and good food though. I havent been since last season cause i have to work, but a faider and a chef fan got into it in the bar.....

The Oggi's in Huntington Beach is good too. Quite a few bolt fans in there and its walking distance for me!

Tustin Brewing Co. is a neutral spot, but good place to see a game. Great MNF specials. Beer specials and food specials!!
