Fans in Kansas?

I was raised in El Cajon, and somehow I'm stuck in Wichita! I have to go to the pathetic "sea of red" to watch the Chargers play the Chefs. I need some Bolt Backers to go with me!!!!

Yes, there are a few of us here who support the bolts. I live in Lawrence and have a coworker who is also a Charger fan. He is the ONLY person in the 10 years I have lived in Kansas(after growing up in Mira Mesa, Penasquitos, La Mesa) who is a true fan. I spot a Ladainian jersey every once in a while up here but when approached I find out they are more of LT fans than Charger fans which is somewhat understandable. LT is the BEST!
I have been going to the Chief/Charger games for the past few years but it has been a horrible experience typically because the Chargers have been so bad on the field and the Chief fans so brutal in the stands. 78,000 drunk rednecks at Arrowhead is tough for me to deal with. I got NFL Sunday ticket this season so I can yell and scream in the comfort of my home every Sunday.

I have lived in ICT and understand the place is a depressing hole. If your going to live in Kansas Lawrence is the ONLY place!

I am always watching my back at Arrowhead cuz I am one of the only Bolt fans in attendance and quite vocal. The past few years its almost been a waste of cash to go since it hasnt been much of a game and the rednecks are all over the fact the Chiefs are handing the Chargers their a*ses and I don't have much patience for the taunting.

Let's hope the CHargers start off well and play some good fottball out of the gate.

Well, I joined the army and travelled the world! I plan on retiring back to San Diego and having Chargers season tickets. I met my wife here in Wichita so its not too bad. Kansas makes taking vacations that much more wonderful! LOL

Hi just got into the message boards. I live in Kansas City area. I was born and raised in San Diego. Went to Granite Hills High 1988-1992. Moved here in 1998. But I am still very loyal to both the Chargers, Padres and Aztecs. I have gone to a couple games at Arrowhead dressed in my blue and gold lightning bolts. Wish I could go with more bolt support. I have gone with friends who are Chiefs fans. Would love to see a section of blue and gold.

I lived in K.C. from 94-01 and recently returned for another tour of misery. I have been proudly displaying my blue and gold and I would love to get a club going. Have you heard of Bolt Pride? They hang out at the west end of the Q and are some true hard core fans. Check out their website. Anyhows I would like to start a midwest chapter. I don't care if it's only 4-5 people. I was born in San Diego and live in Spring Valley until I was 10. I went to the game with my parents from the time I was born until about 5 when I couldn't go for free anymore then got season tickets the next year. We left California in 1980 and been all over the place but always cheer on my Chargers. I now like in Kansas City and have been to a few games here but hate paying over $50 bucks for nose bleed tickets when I got tickets in 2000 in SD for the Thanksgiving weekend game for about $30 in the endzone level one area.

I wear my Charger shirts when I go out and have many Charger gear at my house and work.

Brand new Bolts fan here in Wichita. I grew up in Indiana, but came here via the military and retired here. The High School that I attended in Indiana had Chargers:Bolt: for a team name. So I have to go with tradition.

Heeey, there are some fans in Kansas. I thought I was the only one. I live in Topeka and being so close to KC, it just makes me sick the way the Chiefs and Royals manage their teams. Probably some of the dumbest ownership in the NFL and MLB right there in KC. Not to metion that Kansas has crappy weather, its too humid and then it gets cold and crap. It is a good feeling to know that I am not the only person in Kansas watching the Chargers rather than the Chiefs.

The absolute greatest game I have ever been to was SD at KC in 04. I have been to each Chargers game in KC since moving there in 01 and to finally see them win was great.

Been a Bolt fan since I was a kid and lived in Kansas most of my life. It has not always been easy to like the Chargers in chief and bronco country.

Yeah boy, I am totally pumped up for this upcoming season. We have a good mix of veterans and young players and if Rivers just doesn't push to hard we can make a serious run. I just got my game ticket for the Chargers/chiefs game. Going to go with some chief fans, but hey they got me my ticket and I got a ride to and from the game. Would like to know if there will be any other Bolt backers around for that game. Maybe we can get together the night before for some carne asada and beer?
