This is my first post so go easy on me. I moved from San Diego to DC when I was 5 y.o. My entire family are die hard Chargers fans and in the last few years I've met about 3 other Bolts fans in the area. Wondering if there were any others.

Die hard Charger fan living in Glen Burnie, Maryland. Been a fan since they moved to San Diego in 1960. I was born and raised in San Diego, went to Madison High School, and have been an active (and VOCAL!!!) Chargers fan since I could speak. I hate being in the midst of all these Pipsqueek Squealers, Deadskins, and Baltimore Rehabs fans. I just plain hate being back here in MD, because it is so hard to get a game on TV. What's up with that?!?!?! Anywayz ... just sounding off on being a fan, and being proud of my boys in Blue and Gold. Go Chargers ... kick some butt this year!!!!

I thought I was the only Charger fan in Maryland. Oh well, works for me! Look for the silver Tahoe, usually prowling on Route 100, wearing the Chargers plates, the Chargers stickers on the windows, and the chrome Chargers emblems on the fenders. The guy inside will probably be wearing a Chargers hat and a jersey. That guy would be me. So if ya see me rolling through all these Deadskins, Squealers, and Baltimore Rehabs fans, honk!!! Chargers fans need to stick together. The few, the proud!
Go Chargers!!

Hell ya, Maryland Charger fan here. Lived in San Diego for 13 years and was a season ticket holder from 92-98, the glory years. We are currently in Annapolis. I am one of the biggest Charger fans in the area with the exception of my brother. We watched every game at O'Laughlins in Severna Park this year. Im determined to get a Washington, Philly and NY Jets ticket to next years games. Super Bowl party at my place this coming year! I am also a resident Bills fan (however second to the Chargers).
Go SuperChargers!

Born and raised in SD for 18 years, now stuck in Arlington, VA. I know there's another Bolts fan in the area - I've seen a car with CA plates that say ChrgrFn driving around.
We've been at Willie & Reed's in Bethesda every Sunday for the past 4 years, though the crew keeps dwindling as people wise up and move back home...

First Post...huge fan all my life. Entire family is from Chula and surrounding SD area but I'm transplated out to B'more. UMD grad, so I'm def fired up about the Merriman drafting (although I don't know what the heck he's doing with this holdout junk, stupid Postons)
We've got the Philly game and Skins game this year to go to! Last year I went to the Cleveland game in the driving snow with a BROKEN FOOT! I know I met a MD Bolt fan that day too.
Just remember, '06 Bolts come to B'more and I'm going to be there with bells on.

I work in D.C. and live in Alexandria, VA. I move here June first. It'll be the first time in five years that I won't be going to all the Chargers home games. I've was born and raised in San diego and have been a die hard Chargers fan ever since I can remember. I've supported them through thick and thin and will continue to do so on the other side of the country. I'll be going to the Redskins-Chargers game as well, oh hell yeah! Go Chargers...oh and if there are other chargers fans in the area, you can most likely find me in a bar with an LT jersey on on Sundays during the season since the games won't be broadcast oon regular cable!

Bolt Brothers from the Potomac River area. Glad to hear I'm not the only voice ringing out Sunday afternoons when the BOLTS tee it up. I'm from Warren PA, and have been living in NOVA for 10 years now. Been a fan of the electric storm since the days of Chuch Muncie, Kellen Winslow, and oh yeaah, Dan the man. I've done alot of traveling across the country to watch the bolts, and now fly free with Independence Air. I'll be at all the home games and most of the others this season. Won't need my Direct TV Sunday Ticket this season. Also an Angels fan and flying out this weekend for the Angels-Redsox series and going to catch the Pre season game with the Rams.
Let's plan a tailgater for the skins game.

I kow it is difficult to get Chargers games on tv here. I go to the Mad Hatter in midtown. Coach works the upstairs bar on Sundays and he puts the chargers games on for me. I watched the Rams game there yesterday. There are 5 tv upstairs. The other games are usually the Patriots, always the Giants, coach is a giants fan, 49ers get a tv. The other one is for whomever walks in and wants a specific game. So come on down to the Mad Hatter on M street between 18th and 19th. I have Redskins tickets so I am only there on non redskin home games.

I grew up in San Diego (Poway) and have been a faithful fan ever since my dad bought season tickets from 92-98. I joined the military in 01 and have since lived in DC and now Southern VA. I get pressure from my in-laws to convert to a STEELERS fan or Redskins fan but HOW IN THE HELL COULD I?!?! Just thinking about rooting for a different team is as ackward as putting a right shoe on my left foot. As hard as it has been to watch them disappoint me season after season, and the fact that I may never reside in San Diego again, I will always remain on the bolt-wagon. Say-OWW!!! Everyone in SD- enjoy some good cali burritos for me! :Bolt:

Hello everyone. As my username proclaims, I've been a CHARGERS fan since 84, dating back to the era of Fouts, Jefferson, Joiner, Winslow and Muncie. When I was growing up (in my teeens), playing neighborhood football, my friends reffered to me as Winslow, because I patterned myself after him, due to my love for the team. As adolescent player worshipping goes, when I looked at Kellen, I saw similarities between us, even though I was just a kid and didn't have the physique as he did. Anyway...First, I want to say "What about our CHARGERS" huh? Defeating the 13-0 Colts in their OWN stadium! I am soooooooooo proud of the team! Ending the Colts' perfect record more than makes up for the loss the team suffered at the hands of the Dolphins, the week before. EVEN if the CHARGERS don't get into the playoffs, ending the Colts "drive to perfection" cemented a place for us in the NFL history books...and that's good enough for me. The win was/IS huge! Just for the record, I turned 39 Monday (12/19/05) and I could not have received a better birthday present! I thank God for allowing me to see another birthday and I thank the Chargers for making it a memorable one. If anyone wants to try to plan a get together somewhere in the DC, Baltimore or Maryland area, please be sure to contact me via an e-mail (or reply to me here). I live in Glen Burnie, Maryland and would love to hook up with neighboring Charger fans, either to watch a game in a local bar or to get together just because we all have the CHARGERS in common. I build web sites as a very small side business (as well as a hobby) and I'm thinking about making my own CHARGER fan site for the Baltimore/Washington Metroploitan area. I think it would be very cool if a group of us created a local gathering (perhaps called the MD/DC-ChargersChapter) to include things like member profiles, fan pictures, our group gatherings, etc. just to show our unity, support and appreciation for the CHARGERS. Who knows, it may even get big enough to attract the attention of the team itself. Could you imagine? This endeavor could be the beginning of ChargerChapters propping up everywhere! Hey...I'm all for it. I'll be more than happy to dedicate whatever skills and abilities I have towards such a project. Anyone else? My site is www.theexceptiontotherulecreations.com . Check it out to see what I'm capable of doing. Anyone else want to start a new CHARGERS fan site with me? "Let's Do It!"

Die hard here for 30 years in Owings, MD. (Calvert County). I have had Direct TV for 8 years and havent missed a game because of it. I used to go to a bar called Langways in Lanham to watch the games before I had my home built in Owings. The Bolts were always on the smallest tv and with no volume at all. Its much better in my living room than at the bars. I made my lifelong dream trip to SD this year to see a home game. Unfortunately we lost to the Dolphins that week but I must say it was great to be in the stadium where everyone is rooting for the same team as I was. I was at the 'Skins - Bolts game this year in DC but I was in the minority as far as fans go. The victory was sweet though. The 'Skins had no answer for LT. I am hoping to make my SD trip every year to see a home game. Hopefully I am not the bad luck charm that cost them the game. :14:

Me too, and it was great being the only Bolts fan in my respective section. I swear, at one point though, I thought I was going to get physically assaulted by some of the more rowdy 'Skins fans. I was basically sitting right underneath one of the Bolts luxury boxes (it may have been inhabited by some pretty important people, not sure though), and I actually got them involved in a "Super Chargers" chant at the end of the game. Good times!
Anyways, I went to elementary and middle school in San Diego before moving out to the DC area, and I've been a fan ever since. Put it this way, I would rather get repeatedly kicked in the crotch than ever root for the Ravens or the 'Skins. Go Bolts!!

There isn't a public transit that carries between the two cities, however its only about 40 miles so taking a cab or paying for a shuttle isnt out of the question. The Ravens stadium is just inside the city right off of a major interstate so you dont have to go deep into the city to get there. I'll be there myself hoping to find some faithful to tailgate with.
The city, aka Washington D.C., aka "Murder Capital of the World, is a dump IMO. Of course Ive been around it just about all my life so I have a negative bias towards it. Its not tough to be a Bolts fan here though. Most seasons I dont have much to brag about so I had to take the tongue lashings as they came. Hopefully the last 2 seasons will be a sign of things to come and I can do more bashing and less cringing when it comes to the locals.
'Skins fans aint bad at all. Their spoiled a bit, but not untolerable. This aint Philly ;)

Mshawn, there is also a communter train that runs from DC up to BWI airport, from there it would be a cheaper cab ride up to the stadium. I don't have any details on the train at the moment, but I can get the info from a friend who uses it often, if you would like?

That would be cool. Not sure if I will be able to make the game yet, but would be great to know how to get there if I do. Thanks.
A 40mile cab ride would be super expensive. Would be cheaper to rent a car. The commuter train would be the ticket.

I live in Owings,(should be called Sunderland) just south of Dunkirk. They dont get much more die-hard than me. 30+ years as a Bolt Backer. I bleed Blue and Gold. I went to the game last year at Washington, and went out to San Diego for the Miami game. I am going to the Ravens game this year and am going back to San Diego for the Browns game in November. The Chargers are who I am during football season. I love them unconditionally. 15-1 -or- 1-15, I love just the same. I am trying to talk the wife into letting me put a flag pole up in the yard. If so look to your right coming down Route 4 during the season and you'll see my Chargers colors flying high for all to see.

Any fans want to meet up in MD? I haven't found any great places to watch the Chargers game in Balt. Fletchers in Fell's point will have the game on a decent sized flat screen and the food's not bad, but no sound. ESPN zone is good but always packed. The Georgetown bar is a drive but...? All you Chargers fans who got tickets to the Ravens games are lucky, decent seats on stub hub are priced WAY out of the range of a graduate student!

I was there too, and until the Crows went ahead they were mostly fine (a couple empty cups thrown at me when the Chargers scored but no big deal) but after the Ravens won, it was UGLY getting out of my seats. The Ravens fan I was with was just ashamed of the crowd.

Are you in DC? Or are you in VA or MD? There seems to be a group of us that are making Crystal City Sports Pub our home ground...there's about 5-6 us in there regularly. Take the Metro (yellow or blue lines) to Crystal City. Then walk over to 23rd street...you'll see the Sports Pub, as it's the highest building on that part of the street and it has several satellite dishes on the roof.

My wife and I grew up in San Diego ( morse high and el cap). After the Bolts had so many near wins in the past but came up short--we picked a second team for "backup" which is the Patriots. Which are we rooting for? The Chargers of course !!!!!!!!!!! We want to see New England lose but as I tell my co-workers, "they aren't gonna lay down, they wanna win too, so one will have to beat them". We're excited for this group of present Chargers ( we were excited with Hadle, and Fouts too) and hope they prevail in what will likely be a tuff game on both sides. I am in Arnold, MD and can't wait to hang out w/ other fans. Did I hear someone say O'Laughlins? The one by the superfresh? Let me know and I might have to sneak out after the kids are in bed. I wish I could do that here in Denver... people just look at you weird when you say you are a Charger fan, or if you ask if they have any Charger gear for sale, kinda like a twilight zone or something, I think I'll just order a Charger flag and fly it from my window everyday.

:Bolt:We have a Charger group at Bailey's sports bar in Ballston VA. It's only a minute from the metro and they show all the games there. Ask for Nancy, she's a waitress from SD there and a huge Charger fan!:Bolt:

I lived in Ballston for 3 years and watched every Bolts game at Baileys or Car Pool. I usually found a few Bolts fans here and there. One time I actually was wearing my Natrone Means home blue jersey and someone was wearing the exact same jersey at Baileys. My mind was blown as I've lived in VA my whole life and rarely came across Chargers fans, let alone someone rocking an old school jersey.

Seems like there are more Bolt fans in VA than in Denver, well more fans willing to show their true colors.
I have not seen ANY Bolts, jerseys, hats, nothing... it's just me all by my lonesome

Well it looks like we're getting a pretty good turn out at Bailey's pub & grill in Ballston. Let's get some more SD fans in Virginia, tell your friends!

I was at the Bloomsburg (PA) fair last Saturday and seen a bunch of LT jerseys. I was thinking "WOW maybe I am not the only BOLT fan here!"

I live in Falls Church after moving from Mt. Helix area last year. There seems to be quite a few Charger fans in and around the Beltway area. I have the NFL Ticket so I watch the games at home but I've read several threads where fans in the area hook up for games.

I just moved here from PB. I didn't think I'd miss SD so much but I do. Where can I watch the Sd / Philly game today.
Lets get that stadium built in the gas lamp! Can't wait to go back for a game in the new digs.

This is my first post so go easy on me. I moved from San Diego to DC when I was 5 y.o. My entire family are die hard Chargers fans and in the last few years I've met about 3 other Bolts fans in the area. Wondering if there were any others.
Dear HollyMom-
Welcome to the posts. We'll take it easy on you (we're harmless). I live on Long Island, NY and as a huge (yet very lonely) Charger fan, I feel your pain as you look for fellow Bolt-lovers to watch the games with. My wife and I go down to DC alot. Easy Amtrak ride from NY (2:40 minutes). Stay in Capitol Hill area. Hang out at Black Cat, go to concerts at 9:30 Club, eat at Perry's- but never seem to be able to find other Charger fans.
Next time we come down to DC, we might have to meet up with some of the Md/DC/Va fans on this thread and take over a bar in our Powder Blue jerseys and root on the Bolts!
