I'm a member of the official Padres Forum too. but man do they have a bunch of complainers. I hardly ever post there and everyone is so negative! I hate that message board. There is no mods to keep there trolls under control. You have to log in everyday if you want to post something and they don't allow Photo Signatures. Padres need a Message board like the Chargers MB. I love this MB.

If you can work on this new Padres Message board a little bit more I'll see if I can get some of my buddies from there to join.

Its not the pitching staff. Its our hitters they are slumpin big time, and if we don't get out of this funk soon, we'll be in some big trouble later on in the season.

Peav is pitching in just a little under 30 mins and hopefully he can be the key just jump start our team!

Agreed! It would help the pitchers just a tad if they don't have to pitch a shutout or giving up just 1 or 2 runs everytime they step up on the mound. Unfortunately, the Padres can't throw out Peavy every game :(

Getting swept 3 Games by the Dodgers for a combined score of 18 - 3, I would think the pitching could of been a tad better.

You only need 1 to win, as a Pitcher you need to go out there with a mentality thats it is going to be a close game, if you go out there, and you have to have lots of runs to win, you are not going to win much at all.

True, but they also need to know that they don't need to make perfect pitches all the time. Having an offense that can score some runs for them consistently will come a long way as far as helping them loosening up a bit. What also so frustrating is that, with the exception of a couple of games, the offense getting shutdown completely by scrubs :( Just 2 hits of Brett Freakin' Tomko right now :mad:

Yeah and you could definitely say the same thing about the hitting... only 3 hits in 3 games come on! That is ridiculous. not to mention our defense hasn't been the best either. As I type this Burroughs just thrown the ball in to the stand for a ground ruled double. :confused: If any one is to blame its everyone else but the pitchers. The only pitcher that had a bad day in that series was Eaton. Woody pitched good as well as Redding, and we could have easily won both those game if the Pads would actually get out of this slump that there in and take some of the pressure off our pitchers. It would make their job alot easier.

Note> it is now the 6th inning and the score is 1-0 SF vs Tomko of all pitchers. :confused:

How old are you?

Bob Gibson used to always pitch in those kind of games.

Losing 8-3, 6-0 and 4-0, is not a good show of pitching.

OH and good pitching can shut down good hitting

I'll Change ur Status to mod right awayRight now I am so busy, I am an Umpire, and I have just joined San Diego County Umpires Association, so I have just started to Call High School Games, I work overtime every other Day, so by the time I get home, and take care of everything there, the Padre Game is usally on TV, so i sit down and watch it when I can, I will keep it in mind though.

I work for the Navy, and they frown on us surfing the net during work hours, so with that.

I was an umpire for a tee-ball game and the kid threw the bat at me when he started running for first. :D His mom came up to me after the game and she felt really bad about it.
I was nailed in the Stomach by a batter who was drilled by an inside Fastball, he was very very mad, and in his disgust he threw his bat, it hit me just below my chest protector as I was walking around the catcher to Signal "Dead Ball" and award him First base, I had a black and blue mark for 2 Weeks!!!

I told him he had to go to first, then I was going to toss him out of the game as I was laying on the Ground!

Now I have been hit numerous times by the Bat in my shin Gaurd, I give the warning to the batter for tossing his bat. I have to protect my best friend the Catcher and myself from those flying objects!!!!!
