Carolina Panthers running back Stephen Davis is out two to five weeks with a knee cartilage injury suffered near the end of practice Thursday and underwent arthroscopic surgery today according to the Charlotte Observer Report (http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/sports/football/nfl/carolina_panthers/9690316.htm?1c).

As I said elsewhere... The other injury thread! There seems a very high number of injuries occuring and nearlt all of them seem to be happening during training. Have the rest of the NFL gone in for the Chargers approach to health and fitness training?

I would hope that is the case squabble, because we would then be on even footing. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif

Not sure what the real deal is but we have had more than our share of injuries and key positions being compromised by long term outages. It is time we get some free sailing.

Unfortunately Curtis Martin is feeling just fine.

Davis isnt too big of a loss. If Foster can hang onto the ball, I like him better. It is really too bad for the Panthers that Steve Smith broke his leg. Smith was going to be a superstar this year; hopefully, he recovers quickly and can return maybe the week after the Chargers play the Panthers.
