This is the first and will be the last time I have ever written to and or about the Chargers. I am a native San Diego born and raised. Have been a die hard Charger fan forever. As I have also been a single mother and have never been able to afford tickets to take my three children to a game (now grown). As a result I have always looked forwarded to watching and supporting the Chargers at least via television. I am shocked and disappointed that the second game of the season was not available for viewing.

In an effort to still support the Chargers I drove to Palm Desert to a realatives house in hopes the game would be shown here....To out disappointment it was not.

How do the Chargers expect to retain and gain fan support if we cannot even watch the game. How, do the Chargers expect the citizens of San Diego to support a new stadium and or purchase tickets for support of a sale out, if we are slapped in the face. I feel as though the Charger organization does not give a damn about their fans.

For the cost of gas, you could have bought a cheap ticket and parked outside the stadium for free and seen the game "LIVE". If you do not like the crowds, then get the NFL Ticket via Directv for $200.00 for the season. Done and you are happy again. i/expressions/wine.gifi/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gifi/expressions/SDG_Bolt.gif

Isn't it illegal to show a blacked out game on DirectTV, I dont think they are doing it.

DirecTV has blacked out all Charger home games so far this year. I live in Simi Valley, which is in Ventura County, and for some reason some idiots have determined that a 160+ mile drive is considered local. That's about a 3 hour drive one-way with no traffic--more when dealing with the traffic congestion on the Southern California freeways. I will not be renewing my DirecTV subscription next year.
