Well here we go Rivers has just been promoted to the second QB spot on the Bolt roster as it is clear that Brees days are numbered.
Brees while showing good hands as a wr and decent speed has failed to block or catch play strong against the pass or run.He clearly needs to find a team that will limit him to QB and that also has a offensive line.
With Brees out of the way we will soon get to see if Rivers can do all of these things. The rookie was clearly the darling of the Bolts before the draft .Of course the Bolts had the choice of any of the big three QB .Manning asked out of the competetion early on but in fact it was Rivers who was the apple of Martys eye from the senior bowl on.
Manny long time Bolt fans liked Ben Rothlisburger over both Manning and Rivers. Now the story of three QB will unfold on three differant teams. Coaching and surounding talent along with the weather should effect the results.
Will all three be great? Most likley not the last draft that featured a large group of QB in round one was 1999 with Tim Couch , Donovan McNabb , Akili Smith ,Daunte Culpepper , Cade McNown only McNabb and Culpepper are playing today.
This should be fun and please remember it is only a game it isn't life.

Rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's mindset and confidence are impressive.
"He played like he kind of thought he would play," Steelers coach Bill Cowher . "I thought he did well. He really did. He made some plays. He never lost his composure."

The Steelers' quarterback situation has reached a point where the play that is sent through headsets is not what develops after the football is snapped. At least for one night in Miami, that was a good thing. Roethlisberger, the first rookie to start at quarterback in Pittsburgh in 16 years, is not only talented, he is inventive.
"Sometimes, the biggest plays happen on broken plays," Roethlisberger said in the wake of Sunday night's 13-3 victory against the Miami Dolphins.

Rivers on the move

SAN DIEGO – Philip Rivers just got a lot closer to taking his first snap with the woeful San Diego Chargers.
Rivers was promoted from third-string quarterback to No. 2 on Monday, a day after Drew Brees was ineffective in a 23-13 loss at Denver that dropped the Chargers to 1-2.
Coach Marty Schottenheimer said Brees remains the starter. But if Brees were to get hurt – or get the hook – Rivers, the $40.5 million rookie, would get the call over 41-year-old Doug Flutie, who's now No. 3.
Manning on the bench
The Giants are suddenly 2-1, and while that isn't a total surprise considering that their victories came against the Redskins and, most recently, a severely decimated band of Browns, it is how they are doing it rather than to whom that has been impressive.
Starting QB Kurt Warner has regained his swagger, which may be bad news for the remaining defenses on the schedule and perhaps a little dagger to the heart of the St. Louis Rams, who callously let him go and chose Marc Bulger instead.
