Do you think we need him on our roster, although we do need a dependable reciever, and we all know that we have a running game, is it worth the 6th round pick and whatever else is offered???

No, we don't need Rice. There's no need. He wants a bigger role than he has in Oakland, but we need new talent that'll last more than half a season. Not a third team hall of famer and the end of his career.

If your trying to make a run at the post season, a 6th round pick would be good to help bolster the Wr corps, plus he could help the Younger talent. for a short term solution yes, longer term no.

With the way things have been going.... it looks like the QB may have played a bit of a role. But now that Brees has STEPPED IT UP.... the boys are catching. Besides, who needs a WR when you've got the best up-coming TE in the league? hehe.

Keep Rice buried in Oakland!
They arent using them there, so he is mad, let him sit up there and pout!

Man, I dont appreciate what you all are saying about rice because he is the best wr hands down in nfl history. I think we should do it but I do think you guys are right on saying we need to continue to build on our youn team. Getting rice would help this squad for a 6th round pick. Caldwell is a sure 1st reciever but rice would be a legitamate 2nd reciever because of his great route running ability and his knowledge of the game. The raiders used him wrong and he would be a plus to the chargers.

I can't agree with you more. Teams would have to focus on Rice, leaving Gates and LT a few more holes to exploit.
