Plenty of civil Jags/Titans fans the last two weeks. Heck the Titans fans I met at the Q were probably the nicest opposing team fans I've ever met! That being said, nice having you by falcons2dend. Care to share any thoughts on the up and comming game?

We have enjoyed some fairly civil fans every week - particularly from Tennessee - and a few have come back after the game to tender their congratulations to the winning Chargers, including Houston and Jax fans - the south is cool. Conversely, we are already getting smack out of Indy - and that game isn't until late in the year! i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Anyhoo - to the Falc fan that started this thread - Welcome Aboard and may the best (Chargers) team win! i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

GO BOLTS!!!

That’s rough, might be true, but still rough.

There are not that many fights at the games, still any is too many.

Go Bolts!

Thank yall for being so hospitalable...How's the weather there? I now live here in Honolulu due to the military, but my heart and soul will be in the georgia Dome come Sunday. I've never had any gripes with the Chargers, but I have to root my team. It will be a good game. Mike Vick hopefully will come out of his slump. Who's running the show for yall...is it Brees or what

spysnipedis

yes Brees at QB

Welcom Falcons2dend, and thank you. I also believe it will be a great game but i do want to see our Bolts pluck the birds. I hope there are no injuries though, but it is being said that LT may not play so the show down between Vick and LT might not happen.

We have had some hospitalable fans come in here, and its been a pleasure talking with them.

The Defense will have to mirror Detriots defense, they did a good job in containing Vick, The Falcons Run Defense is pretty Tight, so this will be the test we need to find out where we are at as far as our Running Game is concerned.

Wade Phillips has the recipe for the Falcons demise...

I don't think the Chargers should spy anyone or ask the defensive line to bull-rush in order to contain him. Vick will get his yards on the ground. Instead, they should turn it loose, go get him and occasionally blitz up the middle with either a linebacker or a safety. If they can pressure him up the middle with the combination of a blitz and defensive tackle Jamal Williams, who is having an outstanding year, they can force Vick to the outside. You can run Vick but you can't hide.

Vick should NOT be forced to the outside. That gives him the option to pass or run. Keep him in the middle of the field and inside the pocket. He will then have to rely on his arm and his ability to find the open receiver. Let him dump off fine. Tennessee did that to us and we kept it to mostly short passing plays. Don't give him too much time to improvise...

and oh yeah...welcome falcons2dend. It's nice that ATL and SD have something to be excited about this year.

This guys says he's not here to talk smack, but hey, I say the title of the thread speaks for itself. I am tempted to unload a gallon of smack right across his chops! "5-1" ?!? Who are you kidding pal? Smack, even clothed in genteel language is still SMACK! Allow me to illustrate with some examples:

"Hey, I didn't come in here to talk smack, just wanted to wish you guys luck even though we will win and be 5-1"

SMACK!

"Atlanta fan here, just want to congratulate you on a nice win against the Jag-offs. San Diego is really on the rise. Hopefully after we dominate you Sunday, you will rebound and make the playoffs"

SMACK!

So, don't try to candycoat it birdfanboy. Come Sunday, the Chargers will expose the frailty of the Falcons, clipping their wings, smashing their beaks, and feasting on rotisseried Falcon breast. Those birds will be crying into their feeders by halftime.

That is laying it out proper. However, I'll try it your way. . .

Thread: Hello from a CHARGERS FAN 4-2 Baby!

Hey, just wanted to come in and say how great you Atlanta fans are, and your team. Even so, you have no chance this week. Pray a lot! Still, I hope you have a great season after Sunday.

hehehe, just teasing, welcome. I do agree with the "no injuries" part for sure. BUT 4-2 is how it's gonna be for both teams. . .

Welcome Falcon fan. Us Charger fans have had a hard run of it the past 10 years. Please excuse our optimism. Our team is good and will continue to get better.
The same can be said for the Falcons. I think it will be an even matchup this Sunday.

Go Chargers!!!

F being politically correct. Vick aint worth LT, let alone LT+Drew+Timmy. We got the best of that trade... get over it.

Vick has led us to the playoffs. Last time I checked, LT & Brees have yet to even get close to the playoffs. So keep kidding yourself there HeadTrip, San Diego never gets the better end of a trade, just look what you guys did with your #1 pick this year. I'll give you props on a good start this year, but you will be hating on Vick even more after he runs all over your team on Sunday.

they were debating that on NFL Live this morning. when asked who they would rather have, both experts (it was sean salisbury and some fat guy) picked LT. who's more important to team, salisbury picked vick and the other guy picked LT. who would win championship first- both picked vick. who's harder to gameplan for- both picked vick.

just thought i'd post their opinions on here.

I guess it comes down to which team plays to their potential. Both are capable of winning. The Bolts have been playing close to their potential (at least offensively) of late. I hope they (Brees) continues.
I could never get myself to say "Good Luck" to an opponent. I actually hoped they would have lousy luck, but didn't say it. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif I do hope no one gets injured.

Chargers are a more balanced team. Better passing game. WAY better running game. The Falcons defense is overrated due to strength of opponents. Vick will continue to struggle in the pocket. Expect more fumbles.

Look for a huge Chargers win.
