I still think we need to pick up a DE like Marcus Spears, David Pollack, or Erasmus James in with our 1st round pick. We also need a free safety. Right now I really like Donte Nicholson, Jamaal Brimmer, Michael Huff or Brodney Pool (if he is in the draft). I think we need to draft our DE with the first first round pick, and then pick up our free safety with the second first round pick because it seems there's more teams are looking for a solid DE.

I feel there is still a need for a big time deep threat WR. Williams and Edwards won't be on the board after this, so I like Craphonso Thorpe (6'2" 200 lbs) for our 2nd round pick. He is a speedy playmaker who i think could add more depth to our passing attack. He runs track for Florida State too, so u know he's fast! http://www.nfldraftcountdown.c...r/craphonsothorpe.html (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/playerprofiles/wr/craphonsothorpe.html)

With that said, if I could see it..it would happen like this:

1.(1) Marcus Spears
2.(1) Pool or Nicholson
3. (2) Craphonso Thorpe

I'm still trying to think what A.J. feels the Chargers need most from this draft. What order will he choose? Stoked for this upcoming draft!!

our first pick we should go after 1 of the 3 superstars:
Mike Williams
Derrick Johnson
Antrel Rolle

I think that we can pick up a good safety in the 2nd or 3rd round, no safeties unless Darnell Bing comes out will warrant a first round pick where we stand for our 2nd pick, and Thomas Davis but he should be gone before we pick

good post candokid, I think u've got the right idea just in the wrong order. You bring up a good point in that there are a lot of teams looking for de's but also there are a ton of elite de's in this draft. I think we could easily get one of them with our second first round pick. Crapohonso Thorpe is a good wr but not what we need. He's a fast guy and doesn't have the best hands. We need a big strong receiver like Edwards or Williams, and with the Giants losing again we have a top ten pick and should be able to get one of them. Also the guy out of north colorado, and I can't remember his name right now, Jackson? or Johnson?, would be a good pick up in the third rd or so. And as gambler said there are not many safeties warranting first round picks, but plenty deserving of second or later rounds.

Craphonso thorpe was the ACC sprinting champion last spring. He would be a good speedy wide out to have but I do not think he will be available considering we will most likely have one of the later second round picks.

it would be a high pick, but what about drafting rolle to play FS. Hes big and fast, with a killer instinct.

I like Brimmer too...we need a DE and then address the DB problems. Jammer is a bust as is Davis and the rest of them. We have to upgrade there first. We could also use another WR...you can never have too many.

Jammer is not a bust!!! Davis yea, but not Jammer. Florance is good too.

Go after a BIG Pass rushing DE. but we do have dave ball who is very interesting. I still say get one

GET a FS, Unless they think Hart or Milligan is good enough. I still say get one

About WR, I wouldn't draft one this high. we have Caldwell, Parker, Osgood, McCardell, and someone that I think is gonna be good, Floyd. He is Tall and fast. that sounds like good deep threat to me. as well as osgood, everytime he catchs a ball it is for a bg gain. If he gets more playing time I think he will be good. I think we cut dwight though. all he does is KO and he falls down on first contact. so mabey a kick retuner for 2nd round pick

Erasmas James is a man. He might be faster than Freeney

I think him or Spears may fall to our second 1st round pick, so we go after a superstar with our 1st pick:

Mike Williams WR
Antrel Rolle CB
Derrick Johnson LB
Ahmad Brooks LB

as of right now no DE warrants a top 10 pick, we could get a good one at the end of round 1 or round 2. We should also try to pursuit some linemen both offense and defense in free agency
