I feel like skipping my whole season in single player and go straight to the draft.

I hate video game's drafts. They have fast players with bad agility, agile players with slooooow speed. FBs and Kickers always go in the 2nd round!!

To put it simply there aren't any form of "steal" in Madden 2005 NFL draft.

I remember drafting a RB that ran a 4.56 forty, and his speed rating was a 79. His agility was a 96.

The drafting is fun, i try importing my draft class from NCAA and it was okay but didn't seem the same, I'll just stick with their players they make!

I've been thinking about buying Madden 2005 used, but I heard it's tough to score in that version. How are the Chargers rated and who do they have starting? I hope Kmac is on the team at least.
Should I get 2005, 2006, or wait for 2007?

I would rate Madden 2005 overall with a C, Madden 2006 would get a B.
Why? Because I find it very limited in terms of offensive customization, you can't really throw over head, to the left/right or under as well as you can in '06. In '06, the receivers play harder, they actually make a big effort to jump and catch the ball. Also, the corners do there job better, there's less annoying swats and more picks for the defense. That's one thing I REALLY HATE about '05, the corners mostly swat away balls, the only time they intercept is when you throw a bullet... odd. Also, '06 beats '05 in terms of defensive audibles/offensive audibles and the graphics are better, you can also play the new Superstar mode which is real fun.
Just get '06 and rent '05 and you will see how much better of a game '06 is... Don't wait for '07, it's coming out later in the year, they just started to make it.
Import the draft class from NCAA 06, then you get guys like Leinart, D'Brick, Young, Even Ko Simpson!!! You have to name them yourself, but if you know their number and what college they attend it's easy.
