Nolan is saying no thanks ... so far. I agree Jerry Rice should retire as a 49er. But should he get a one year contract and play another season?

I guess the honorable thing would be to let Rice retire as a 49er.

he could have and should have before he went to play for the faiders, being cut from that team should have signified the end as well, but i guess hes too stubborn, BTW i never liked rice, him and young were butt buddies.

Those 'butt buddies' combined to break every NFL passing record there is. Rice was poetry in motion back in the day. No one in the league could cover the guy, and he almost never missed a catch. Both he and Steve Young were high quality, high character guys. In their prime, I would have put either one of them in a Chargers uniform in a heartbeat.

Even tho they smoked us in the Super Bowl, I gotta say thanks for the memories Jerry. You're a class act. Now go enjoy retirement.

Go Chargers! :Bolt:

Although jerry rice was a raider I liked him, he was cool and a good football player,he should sign a one-day contract to retire as 49er that's the team he spent his whole career in san fransico.

:Helmet: GO CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
