should the nba have a age resriction
personaly i think yes they should because the nfl has it and look at the college game its just as exciting as the nfl but the nba has so many busts of high school athletes and an age restriction wud up the excitment and playing level of college basketball

The NBA should definately have a restriction on the age a player can enter the draft. There are too many Kwame Browns and Darko Milics in the league. Sure, there is LeBron, but a player like that only comes along one every 10 years out of high school. The NFL has an age restriction, and it works fairly well. Baseball has the Amateur Draft, and most player wind up being in the Minor Leagues for around 5 years. San Diego took 2nd basemen/shortstop Matt Bush, who was fresh out of High School in Coronado. Not long after he was selected, he had some problems, and K-Towers stated that "this is not a good indication of the future." So, yes, there should definately be an age restriction in the NBA. Jermaine O' Neal argued that this would "cheat young black high schoolers out of "getting out of the ghetto." He believes that it would be a racist decision. I say that it isn't because any person of any color or decent can play in the NBA. Sure, most NBA players are African American, but it isn't only an African American league.

I definitely agree with it.. tons of immature HS players are jumping into the NBA. Some of them aren't even close to being mentally ready.. college helps them develop, physically and mentally..

Kwame Brown is the perfect example of a high schooler not being ready for the NBA. He hasn't produced, and the Wizards are just now in the playoffs. The age limit should be 20 or 21.

i say copy the nfl 2 years till eligibilty
also redo the draft ordering process do it on records the worst team gets the best pick not the lottery

If they had an age restriction in order, then I would pay a lot closer attention to college hoops.
