PSP Hack to control your house!
http://img.engadget.com/common/images/5845275640673728.JPG
When the wipeout browser hack came out, I saw someone controlling XBMC from their PSP browser. It’s great that you could control XBMC from your PSP, but what if your XBOX isn’t on, and your TV isn’t on, and your TV is not on the right input?? You still have to get up or find the remote and adjust all of that…
I’ve come up with my own solution…

The bad part is you have to buy the hard drive seperatly, or buy memory cards. Just Microsofts attempt to drain more money out of us. Ill still get one since Halo 3 will only come out on it.

Ah the Xbox 360 looks mighty cool and its hardware looks top notch. But still the Xbox 360 and PS3 sound more along the lines of "more, bigger, better, and faster" without anything really innovative to add other than better graphics. Games are still stuck in the stone age when it comes to emotional content.
What I'm looking forward to is the Nintendo Revolution. I really hope the big N's claims are not hype and they truly do deliver an exciting new way of playing games.
That mock up of a gameboyized cube would be cool! To bad its just someone being clever with photoshop!

Your thinking the same as me. Of course I am going to buy the X-Box 360 because it is compatible with your MP3 player, and I think your computer. you can change the face plates, customizing your console. I look forward to see what Nintendo has to bring to the table. I can bet money that Nintendo will feature online play with this next generation console. Who wants to play super smash bros online? I sure do. Many games should have had an online feature on the gamecube that would have made nintendo a lot more sales. Nintendo, codename, "Revolution" is suppose to deliever a change in the way you play your games. Nothing specific has been said. just want for the Rumors.

Nintendo announced today that the Revolution will come out in 2006, be no bigger than three dvd cases stacked on top of each other. It will be backwards compatible with the cube, and will play movie DVDs. Revolution games will use DVD-9 and hold about 8.5 GB per disc. It will have wi-fi built in as well. Controllers will be completely wireless.
It is already known that IBM will supply the cpu and ATI will supply the gpu. Given the size of the Revolution, I do not see it being as powerful as either Xbox 360 or PS3 as bleeding edge hardware usually needs lots of cooling, it seems as though Nintendo is going the efficient route as opposed to power. But then again, Nintendo has previously stated they think the next round will be won by innovation not just horsepower.
Me cannot wait until E3.

Thank god it will be backward compatible. I'll be able to sell my Gamecube or give to my brother. I think that the revolution might not have the "horsepower" but they sure do bring the fun. Each console will be different and right now, the Revolution is a mystery. X-box looks like it might have the most power. All Nintendo needs is online play, which they also announced, for the Revolution and they will be selling. Who does not want to play Mario Kart online? Super Smash Bros?

Killzone PS3 ^^
Sony Announced the specs for the Sony Playstation 3
-It will support Blu-ray (obviously), DVD±R/W, CD-R/RW
-Backwards compatible with the PlayStation 2 and original Playstation
-One 3.2GHz Cell processor—total system performance rated at 2.18 teraflops (uh, that’s actually about twice what Microsoft is claiming the Xbox 360 will do); it will have 256MB system RAM 3.2GHz, and 256MB GDDR VRAM at 700MHz
-The nVidia graphics will be called the RSX (”Reality Synthesizer”), and will trump the Xbox 360 with 1080p (yes, that’s a p) graphics support.
-There will be a 2.5-inch hard drive (i.e. laptop hard drive) attachment—a first for a Sony launch (no, we don’t count the PSX and/or the FF add-on)
-Memory Stick Duo slot, and very surprisingly, an SD and CF slots
-Bluetooth support with up to seven wireless controllers
-Six USB system ports

PS3 looks friggin amazing! Go look at the video at www.gamespot.com
Near the end of the video you can see game footage from upcoming titles. Oh for the record the PS3 will be quite a bit more powerful than the Xbox 360. It can drive two HDTVs at 1080 for panoramic gaming!
Now we just need to see what Nintendo is up to!

"Satoru Iwata Prez of Nintendo is on stage; the Revolution has been revealed, and he’s making this clear that this one is only a prototype. It’s a small black box (we know) but he claims it will be even smaller in the final iteration, and that it’s backwards compatible. “Clearly the Revolution is by far the smallest console we have manufactured. In its final form, it will be even smaller than this, about the size of 3 DVD cases stacked together. It will play either horizontally or vertically.”
BACKWARDS COMPATIBITY OF 20 YEARS OF NINTENDO.
”Backward compatibility: the disc drive will accept Gamecube games. We have designed Revolution to be a virtual console, enabling it to download 20 years of Nintendo content. ... It is the gaming experience that will most separate Revolution from its competitors.” This is huge! It will have built in emulation for NES, SNES, N64, as well as being able to read and play GameCube games! This completely trumps Sony’s two-gen backwards compatitibility in the PS3.
“Next generation versions of Mario and Zelda are already underway. We also have big plans for Metroid in our Revolution. The key here is not what you are playing, but how you will be playing. Revolution will [allow the creation] of entirely new genres. ... We expect strong third-party content in both hemispheres. For example, Square Enix is already working on a WiFi version of Final Phantasy … for the Revolution.”

I knew of backwards compatibility, but was caught off guard by the whole download all the previous Nintendo games feature. Very neat. Free Wi-Fi gaming as well. The machine itself looks good, like a candy colored Mac Mini. Nintendo as expected is downplaying the hardware inside as well.
Sadly Nintendo didn't disclose their innovative controllers or their "secret" that will make the Revolution revolutionary. We shall see and soon I hope.
The DS looks good for 2006 as well.

Nintendo is also releasing a Gameboy Micro. A smaller version of the gameboy SP. It can fit anywhere.
I got so happy once I read that you can download the 20 years of nintendo onto it's emulation. It will help so that I don't have to buy myself those older consoles.
But I was not so happy because they kept the Specs a secret, and controllers a secret. I think they will be doing this stuff next week.
From old school games like Donkey Kong to modern GameCube releases like Super Mario Sunshine, Nintendo says they'll all be available for download on Revolution.
I'm guessing you can download old games and maybe even gamecube games. Revolution will probably have a hard-drive in there. I'm going to take a guess of 40 gigs max.

We were particularly drawn to the glossy black and white Revolution units. The white Revolution looks like an Apple product, which is just about the highest compliment we can pay an industrial design.
http://cubemedia.ign.com/cube/image/article/617/617195/e3-2005-hands-on-revolution-20050519020546288.jpg
Depending on whether the Revolution is situated horizontally or vertically, its GameCube docking section is located beneath a flap on the right side or top of the unit respectively. The flap is easily raised to reveal four GameCube controller ports and two GameCube Memory Pak slots. This area is of course dedicated to the idea of backward compatibility. Revolution's new controller is likely to be dramatically different from anything we've seen before, and therefore Nintendo needed to include ports for the old pads so that new buyers could continue to enjoy old GameCube software.
Software designed specifically for Revolution will make use of its wireless controllers and therefore there are no other ports for such devices on the machine.
really is striking. The drive is not just illuminated, but surrounded by a sleek blue light, and it accepts both GameCube Optical Discs and new 12cm discs designed specifically for Revolution. The interesting bit is that the drive easily takes both sizes without any fuss. Gamers just drop any GCN or Revolution title in and it automatically works. Nintendo indicated that the drive is one of the first to intuitively do that. Power, reset and eject buttons are located on the front panel of the unit. Meanwhile, a flap on the front of the machine hides the slots for the 512MB memory cards that Revolution utilizes for downloads and game saves.
