Check the players club in Clairemont. They're a "Boston" place but it's a pretty good bar to watch sports.

Welcome to the board Alexis_Detroit.

I like NO NBA teams anymore, they NBA has been turned into the No Basketball Ability league these days. It is no longer a real league, just a long highlight reel. The wonderful performance in the Olympics showed that all too well. There also seems to be a really high percentage of thugs, hoods and lowlifes compared to other sports these days.

Go Bolts!

I totally agree. I used to love the NBA, but now I just catch the highlights on Sportscenter because basketball isn't a team game anymore. If there becomes another 29 Steve Nashes, I'll start watching. I like the old school guys like Dr J, Earl 'the Pearl' Monroe, Nate 'Tiny' Archibald, Oscar 'Big O' Robertson, Wilt the Stilt, etc.

I grew up a Chicago Bulls fan, so it is strange to start rooting for the Pistons at this stage in my life. I too remember the days of I Thomas, B Laimbeer, J Dumars, D Rodman, J Edwards and the rest.

As a Bulls fan I would see Jordan and the rest handle the NBA year after year. But when they played the Pistons (especially a series) the Bulls were not the Bulls anymore.

I admit that the Pistons played "dirty", but they also played hard and took no prisoners. I LOVE that kind of Basketball.

Scottie Pippen was my favorite player and was "Robin" to Jordan's "Batman" all season long. Against Rodman and the Pistons he was too soft and was seldom effective (youd be surprised how hard it is to get going in a game when you are on your back 5 times in the first half!).

I agree that there are some "thugs" in basketball, but that word is thrown around a bit too much in my opinion. I personally learned ALOT from players like Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, and Dennis Rodman.

There was a time when every NBA team had an "enforcer" and fights were commonplace (much like hockey)......but it definately isnt like that anymore. In fact, most of the teams that were in the Playoffs were offensive powerhouses with very little defense. But enough about the Suns! :(
