I have always had a problem with someone who gets paid to do what I do in my free time and still acts like a prima donna. Here in Denver, I just watched about a 4 minute news piece about a Colorado Rockies player who had a "nail injury". It seems that he had a "press on" or "glue on" nail put on over his fingernail (why, I can't imagine). Apparently, somehow the fake nail and the real nail got torn and he had to miss a ball game.
Don't get me wrong - I loved playing baseball as a kid. Watching it, however, leaves me cold and the above-referenced example is part of the reason. Thankfully, my kids have introduced me to a real Spring sport - lacrosse. Hopefully, the professional lacrosse players will never earn enough money to have their nails done.
P.S. Sorry to vent on everyone, but I had to vent somewhere and my wife doesn't give a damn.
