The Mighty 1090 radio station is currently reporting that University of Oklahoma offensive coordinator Chuck Long has been hired.

WOW...didnt see that comin. hmm thoughts anyone?????? im really surprised by this move. hopefully sdsu saw potential in this guy. i really hate oklahoma so i have nothing to say. im not going to say i dislike or like the move right now. just hope sdsu picked the right guy.......

I remember him as a college QB at Iowa. Pretty darn good one too. Spent some time in the NFL and has worked under some pretty good head coaches in decent programs. Most importantly, he was Oklahoma's main recruiter in Southern California. Time to keep some of that local talent at home, no?

i really hope so too. as much as i said i hated oklahoma, i really hope this guy is good for da aztecs

Hell, it can't get any worse. We're talking about a program that is on the verge of getting flushed if it doesn't get better fast. Long should be able to bring in some top recruits considering his track record at OU. SDSU is a sleeping giant, all somebody has to do is remember to turn on the alarm clock.
