I really want Nate Clements, I think he will be a high possiblity for the chargers..

Nate Clements is good. Unfortunately, Nate Clements will be a highly sought after player. AJ gives players a "value" and doesn't pay them more than what the FO perceives their "value" to be. I doubt we will win a bidding war for Nate Clements, especially since we're possibly losing our elite QB.

I heard that the Bills will likely franchise him, so he might not make the open market.
He's a solid corner, but I don't think giving him the huge contract he'll demand would be a good idea in the long run.

I don't think Clements is as good as Jammer - I know that's just my opinion. I do think he's better than Florence. I still think we need help at Safety more than Corner.

As crazy as it sounds to hear myself say this..but I'm willing to give Jammer, Florence, and Davis another chance, Jammer still has potential and I think he'll imrove.
I think what we really need in the secondary is a ballhawking safety..that can force turnovers, and be solid in coverage, and of course make tackles. Someone that can take some pressure off the corners in coverage.
I would love to have him. This would give us 2 big strong corners. He is young and has experience. This would be a big improvement to our secondary.

I would love to have him too, I just don't see it happening. Chargeroo is also right on the money in assessing that we need to improve our safety play.

Maybe..but I seem to remember him being burnt for 2 long TD's by our guys McCardell and Parker :p back when we faced the Bills back in Week 11. I'll pass on the overpriced FA corner.

Two words: Franchise Tag.
Forget about Clements if he's tagged, as he likely will be. Anybody saying they don't want him is crazy. He's still one of the best corners in the league and the Chargers have the money to pay him. He'd turn the Chargers pass defense around instantly.

Getting a top CB would allow Jammer to cover the #2 WR which he would do very well at. I still have hope for him being a very good corner, but I think it's asking a lot of him to cover the #1 WR and he may never be that type of guy.

I want Hope and bentley... but I like clements I just dont want to overpay for anyone... and if I do.. I need someone who will make a big impact ie... runyan backus...or bentley those 3 could make the biggest impact for us then... Hope then a CB...

clements got burnt against the chargers cuz the bills passrush was terrible.

Keep in mind that it was one of the 5 best QBs over the last two years that did that to Clements...

I haven't heard much about Clements but the stats look good. I did see that Ricky Manning Jr. will be a free agent (great corner from UCLA and Carolina's Super Bowl team) and maybe he'd like to come back to the west coast and play for the young and talented Chargers!:Helmet:

Clements has made it very clear in the past several days that he wants to remain in Buffalo. I believe he will be staying put. But I would like to see the Chargers pursue him despite the fact that he got torched against us this year. We were coming off the bye that week and I don't belive many secondary's would have stood a chance on that particular Sunday.

Wow, he had one INT more than Jammer.
Steve Smith said that Clements isnt as good as he thinks he is and needs help from a safety to be effective.
