They just released him..I think this guy could be a good fit for us... Since Jamar Fletcher will be leaving... We could sign Plummer to play nickel... I know he's been injured for the last 2 years with the 49ers but new team fresh starts.. What do you think???

plummer will want money and want to start, and he is injuried every season... no point in tossing money away

I like Plummer and would not mind having him if he was healthy. Problem is he has not been healthy for 2 seasons.

i know this doesn't say a lot about his character, but i think he might have been less mentally "in it" and worked less hard due to the fact he was on the worst team in the NFL over the past 2 years.

maybe playing on an emerging defensive powerhouse (that's us in case you weren't sure) he will have a more injury free season.

I'll pass on mr ahmad. He's no better then anybody we already have in our secondary. We need to go after people that will imrprove our secondary. Ahmad is not on that list.

i'm not saying we should go after him, but these days every team has 3 and 4 receiver sets.

we need 3 or 4 really good corners.

and as i mentioned in another thread, i think fonuti could get open on sammy davis.

Definitely sign him and see how he performs in training camp...if we can keep him injury free (knock on wood) then he could be a very valuable member of our Defense!:Helmet:

yea, and he was not GREAT before those injuries. Sammy is not terrible, except he can't tackle, or catch, or make any hit at all. He was good in his rookie season and needs to get confidence back and fix that list of things I mentioned

Ahmed Plummer was a good corner then his injuries took place. Even if we did sign him he (like everyone else in the league) would want the big bucks because he thinks that he's the best.

If the 49ers thought enough of Plummer to release him that should say enough. No thanks.

I would not want Plummer.

Mike Nolan is alot like AJ Smith, he doesn't want a bunch of punk ass T.O. type players that will complain all the time, that is why he was cut.
