My friends, it's not that Rivers didn't have experience. No, not at all. It's not because Brees got injured, no, not that.
The reason why we lost Week 17 was because of an action the Chargers Front Office took after the 2004 season...they got rid of this man:

Yeah it's a long offseason, so lets discuss Flutie :) How about that dropkick?

The dropkick was awesome, but losing week 17 was irrelavant. Who cares that we lost? I just know some people that hate Marty for playing Drew (I will find it in my heart to forgive him if PR develops into a good QB).
Back to Flutie, I want him back in SD as a QB coach. He is a great guy who had an awesome career.

Perhaps the reason the Chargers lost to the Jets in the playoffs the season prior is Flutie wasn't allowed to drop-kick instead of Marty marching a rookie kicker onto the field?

Haha, good one. I agree, Flutie should have drop kicked that one :p. I forgive Nate, though

I care that we lost because it added insult to injury. And I hate losing especially to AFC West teams.

No we lost because we were out played and were lucky as hell to even have the over time to begin with. The jets deserved to win that game and they did.
