This is a bit corney, but could probably play well on the scoreboard during games. After he throws a TOUCHDOWN, he does... you know

I am talking about his first TOUCHDOWN as the starting qb of your SAN DIEGO CHARGERS, during the next season. I don't count preseason numbers.

Actually as much as I want to see his first touchdown, and the many more to come.
I'm more interested to see him throw his first INT then knock the defender on his ass.
Why have two of our consecutive starting QBs had names relative to the elements of the earth? Wind and Water.
Wierd.
Speaking of which I have to update Wikipedia's players pages to say Brees is a Saint and Rivers will start!

If Leaf was awful and Brees was great, that means Rivers is going to be a ****ing kind on the gridiron.

You got your opnion, so go ahead and doubt, and get off this board, because what we have here.. are real CHARGERS fan. Regardless of who was under center, we will still support the team.
Can't touch diz, we are men. Just trying to put a little something different on the board, instead of .... brees vs. rivers... 1-15 next year... get bentley... aj isn't doing anything... why not t.o.

lol thats true rivers is known to put the defender that intercepts his pass on his ass, carrys and slams them down,hasnt he dont that twice already

Am I am the only one who's afraid the play on words is going to get out control with River at QB? The media already had a field day with bad puns of the name Brees. Who knows what they'll come up with with a name like Rivers. And think about Chris Berman. Seriously, I think this is the thing that scares me the most about next year.
