The Greenbay Packers have met with Woodson and it makes since cause they got enough cap room and they are trying to talk Favre into coming back. Another team thats interested is TB, but they already have Barber and Kelley. Woodson in a Greenbay uniform doesn't fit well to me, but It looks like he'll end up there cause the money's drying up.

makes since...they need a lot of help and should trade down for more picks.

makes since sense they gots the money. there are worst places to play than GB and worser CB's than woodson.

Well he wouldn't help the Packers win, so him signing there shouldn't play a role into Favre's decision.

Well he wouldn't help the Packers win, so him signing there shouldn't play a role into Favre's decision.Favre said he wanted GB to pick up some FA's and Woodson is one of the best FA's available. If they offer him enough money I think he'll sign. I don't know were else he would go.

Personally i think Brett was a great QB. But he has gotta go while his legacy is still good. He's leaving GB in limbo...ohhh I'll play, ooooh I might not play... I think he either commits to playing or call it quits...YESTERDAY, and not say GB needs to hire this and that before he commits to coming back.

He wasnt even offered a contract. He's on to the next suitor.

Brett just decide already! The team is making plans for next year and granted he is a future hall of famer; you shouldn't leave a team in limbo for this length of time. Being ambivalent in front of the media just makes it worse...talk to your family, colleagues and friends...go away and think about it and decide. That should happened already.

Just the fact your indecisive Brett tells plenty already...

hes one of the best left now that everyone has been signed, hes not worth big money.

i heard that its down to between green bay and tampa bay for him and green bay has a lot more money to spend plus hes guarenteed to start there, in tampa hes not.

sue me if im wrong, but doesn't Charles Woodson fit right into a Charger's Uniform? Look like old Michigan days. Plus, he can play against the team that didn't treat him good. Why CW, Why?!

Well this is a digression but Favre is a very selfish player. Alot of former teammates can attest to the fact that it's all about him. Don't get me wrong but he's a great player, one of the greatest to ever play the position. But you gotta think he's abusing his power and legacy. I mean come on, if you really had the heart in you to play the game you would come back no matter what condition your team is in. Lobbying for some FAs is not only playing GM but more importantly it's calling out your current teammates.

geese you guys sound like fools talking about favre like this. he's humble to the game, loved playing and has been around long enough to be smarter about what he's doing than any one of you think. show me some quotes about any players talking bad about favre and how teammates 'attest' to whatever about him. i think if he wants FA's for his team to be better, and at the same time decides to retire, then i think he's accomplished what he wanted. he'll have made the packers a better team with a better chance to succeed. think about that for a second. cuz if he retires and the packs get some good players. then they all come out as winners. peace.

I think we should go after Woodson. He is probably looking in the range of 4 million. I like the thought of Jammer and Woodson starting. And when needed, either one of them can move to safety.

And on the Farve issue, he needs to just decide. He talked last year about how Walker wasn't being a team player, hell, he isn't being one right now. Green Bay needs to know. If he retires, more cap space to do some things. He is holding Green Bay hostage... and not being much of a team player...

its not like they need the cap space, i was reading in a woodson article that they had over 10 mil, free agency is pretty much over, theres no big buck guys left. they wont use it all.

Woodson has 3 teams after him, Greenbay where he left w/o a contract, Tampa baywho wants to make him a safety, and Seattle. My bet is that he goes to seattle and all the NFL analysts jump on the seahawk bandwagon all the way to the playoffs- since they cant miss with their division

I think Seattle is interested in Ty Law more.

does anyone really need a direct quote to see what Brett is doing? I used to love the guy but the way he is acting now just seems like a non-team player/ god-complex kinda mentality. It seems players are getting more and more "above the team" nowadays.

Why Charles Woodson won't be a Chargers:

1. Correct me if I am wrong, but he doesn't fit AJ's "character" requirement. Seems like he is a primadonna and has a bad attitude. Just my impression, I may be wrong.

That is enough right there, but I will go on. I don't think some of you got the AJ character memo.

2. History of injury problems.

3. Has underachieved his entire career.

In my opinion the longer it takes someone to sign Woodson, the better he will play next year. He will only be effective with a chip on his shoulder.

1. Okay, I will correct you. McCardell was sitting out for a new deal, Castillo had a steriod issue, Merriman attitude and choice of agent was in question, Rivers said he wanted to be a starter somewhere next year, and Gates held out. Character and team-first attitude only mean that the guy needs to be a dedicated to being a great football player, not that he has to be classy or a saint. And Woodson is far from a T.O. cancer in the lockeroom.

2. The injury problem may be a concern. After starting every game his 1st four years. He then has started 8, 15, 13 and then 6 last year.

3. A good career, minus the injuries. 17 INts. 14 Forced Fumbles. Good Tackler. 4-time pro bowl selection.

If he can stay healthy, he would be a solid addition to the secondary.

Funny thing is people don't want Woodson. But I would think that Woodson is a better option than Florance. I like DFlo, I think he has a lot of game. But Woodson and Jammer, both are solid against the run. And with those two on team, you're looking at our future safeties.

I doubt AJ is looking at Woodson. But who knows what AJ is doing, we just have to trust that he is doing his job. BECAUSE that's what he does. GO AJ!!!

I would take Woodson as we speak. He is fast and can cover. We can have 2 hard hitting CB's. They are fast so the 1 on 1 coverage would be good because we could have 2 #1 CB covering a 1and 2 wr formation.

not that he's going to be a charger, but i think if he plays for a winning organization with players like LT and Edwards (if he's around), then woodson would act and play differently.

playing for a championship worthy team seems to get most people in line.

now TO would be an exception.

i'd love to get woodson - assuming if AJ and marty met with him and he was a good guy just on a bad team for years.

and if the price was right.

I'll be really surprised if we make a play for Woodson. I just don't see AJ bringing a guy with questionable character and attitude, who expects a huge payday for caliber of play that seem about 2 years removed from the present. Plus, the guy keeps getting injured. Great shutdown man corner when he's healthy and willing to play, though.
