Anybody else see this?

I thought it was pretty good. 7/10 for me. I wanted more action personally...

On a side note, does anyone know where I can find a clip of Superman 3 where the woman turns into a robot?

I can't find it anywhere!

I saw Click instead. It was pretty good. Not a typical Sandler role though, as it wasn't really a comedy.

Really? It seems to be a comedy in the previews.

Hmmm...is it a serious film?

Without ruining it, the best way I can sum it up was it had a few funny scenes, but a good half of it was more serious. He had to decide between his career or family, so a lot of it was I guess sad/serious. It has its funny moments though. I'd say it was a little more serious than in Big Daddy, specifically when he wants custody of the kid in that movie.

I'd give Click a 6.5 out of 10. I expected it to be hilarious, judging from the previews, but the previews showed a good portion of the funnier scenes.

Meh. That seems typical with Sandler movies these days.

A woman turns into a robot in the movie?!?! Really?!?!

I thought Singer was totally against the old Superman III movie and that had a woman turning into a robot in it! Unless he's making fun of that scene... please tell me he doesn't mock Superman III!

It was a great movie...watched it last night with my wife and I was just in awe. Growing up in the 70's and 80's seeing the original Superman Movies - this was the ultimate homage to the old school.. Seeing Superman's real father from Krypton in this movie - talking through the ice glacier was awesome. Also when he came back from krypton and reunited with his earth Mother was touching as well. Brought back memories.

This story as was Xmen, Spider Man movies - had alot of substance - there's an "emotional attachment" with Superman and Clark Kent that cannot be denied from the beginning to the end.

I give it a 9/10...the action sequences were really great, but it also had that "human" appeal where Superman does get a serious butt whippin somepoint in the movie as well as his struggles of being just that - an ordinary person. If all I saw were action sequences and no character development I don't think I would give as high a score.

I love this Director Mr. Bryan Singer - he did a fine job of depicting how Superman should be.

Go out there and watch it if you haven't yet. You'll be clapping in the end. I did.:Bolt:

was it better than the first spiderman movie?? or better than the latest batman movie??i'd rate batman begins over it, probably spiderman 1 over it too, but that would be a lot closer matched

superman made 84 mill over it's 5 day opening from what i heard, and spiderman 1 or 2 made 152 over it's 5 day opener, so it looks like spidey has a much bigger fanbase

well i watched the movie last night, and I loved it. Superman has always been my favorite. It was 100 times better than any of the other superman movies. I liked it better than spiderman and batman returns. Although spiderman 3 looks pretty sick!!

Warning - I'm talking about parts in the movie (if you haven't already seen it)

Just saw it this afternoon. I'm a huge Superman fan (comics through Smallville) but this movie had ridiculous thought behind it. I'm not talking about the storyline but rather the obvious oversights:

Metropolis being New York City instead of in the "heart" of America?
Young Clark scene showing him wearing glasses running through corn field? He only used them as a "disguise" later in life.
He loses his power when he lands on new kryptonite filled land, but is able to keep his strength when pushing it in to space?
People got beat up in that plane/shuttle scene, but came out looking like they were on a roller coaster? My points may seem frivolous to some (especially the last one), but a movie of this magnitude should have had more common sense, IMO. I'd give it a 6/10 only in part for some fantastic special effects.

PS - can't wait for Spidey 3 (May 2007). :D

Brian Synger's a great director, the X-Men movies rocked (the first two) and The Usual Suspects is one of the greatest films of all time. But this film disappointed me... great special effects but I never really got sucked into it, felt more like a opera than a film... (though I've never seen an opera :D ) :-/ 3 out of 5 Stars

You probably didn't realize when Superman was able to push it out to space when he dug him self under the earth that did not have kryptonite on it. The kryptonite started to show up because the pieces of non-kryptonite earth were falling to the ocean. I hope that can clear up it for you.

Your other points are valid.

Spidey 3 looks awesome I think I am going to go crazy waiting for that movie.

I don't need to watch this movie to know that the best part of it was the Spider-Man 3 trailer before it.

WARNING!!! SPOILER!!!! yeah i was rather disappointed myself, i didn't like the story at all and when it was just starting to finally get good it ended without superman getting the bad guy.

the effects were awsome and this movie had great potential with some very exiting scenes but the story and ending its self ruined it IMO.

even though i know that they were just trying to set it up for a sequel, i still hated the ending. i give it a 6/10 and that is being generous.

Dude: the mentioned heroes above are INTERESTING. Superman is so dam boring: he is basically a god, unless you get green rocks around him from a far away planet? Come on. Not that it couldnt be cool... I mean Kevin Spacey is a hell of an actor.. and if Superman were to , say for example eat a bag of kingsford briquettes and poop out gun powder, that would be cool ...

All the parts with Marlon Brando gave me chills. They should win an oscar for best sound editing... Brando's voice was superbly dramatic.

Bro, he's my favorite actor of all time. I've acted for 16 years and I've studied more of Brando's technique than anybody. I learn something new everytime I watch one of his films. He's my idol.

The episode with NAMBLA was great. Cartman joins the "North American Man Boy Love Association" (an actual, albeit illegal organization which advocates pedophiliac behavior), then the police, trying to save Cartman accidently bust the "other NAMBLA"... the "North American Marlon Brando Look-Alikes"
