Wow, I know people that put money on this game (for the Eagles), thinking it was a mortal lock. I think Vegas is going to roll a lot of bank on this game.

A lot of SD fans were pissed Brees rolled. I'm not surprised we got this game.

Talk about jinxing Drew Brees.

TJ21

How did you know they would be good this season?
Drew Brees is pro-bowler, Reggie Bush is Heisman winner, Deuce McCallister is a pro-bowler. Joe Horn is a pro-bowler. All they needed was reasonable defense and good enough line play. It didn't really take a genius to figure out they'd be good.

Sean Payton might be coach of the year btw.

MadMadigan
10-15-2006, 10:49 AM
mcnabb tried to give it right back lol Yeah he's made som desperation throws today. Just like last week, his receivers dropping passes

MadMadigan
10-15-2006, 10:51 AM

McNabbs my Fantasy football QB, i should have Started Rivers today :(

OCLightzOut
10-15-2006, 11:10 AM
Is it just me or is Sean Payton getting a little Jon Gruden over there on the sidelines when he searched out his T or G (#70 Brown). I like his subtle intenstity and it seems to be working. The Saints have a good team, Brees still looks pretty sharp and Bush is a weapon on returns and recieving not so much running which hurts them with deuce out

spysnipedis
10-15-2006, 11:13 AM
go saints lol

better than he looked post op , that's for sure.

Yah, but you figured he'd get better as the season progressed as well. They beat the Eagles, and they have a shot at the playoffs IMO (barring an injury to Brees or Bush)

McNabb TD pass.

reggie brown with a nice run after the catch.

Saints need to refer to the manual "Tackling 101"

JCDavey
10-15-2006, 12:23 PM
good challenge there, it's breaking the rhythm of the eagles come back, well played payton, even though he knows it's not going to be overturned

Missed tackle after missed tackle. The Saints defense is really starting to show. They can't keep up with the Eagles for 4 quarters. Saints better get something rolling offensively.

TD Eagles, Mcnabb taking his usual 1st half warm-up

engage
10-15-2006, 12:31 PM
the saints can't tackle so they try to tackle before the eagles catch the ball, at least they finally called pass interference.

JCDavey
10-15-2006, 12:31 PM
TD Eagles, Mcnabb taking his usual 1st half warm-upi thought the eagles were a 4th qtr choker though, i expect the saints to win this unless the game hinges on tackling in the secondary

One big play away from taking momentum back.

Looks like Brees is struggling. He played well when we played the Eagles last year.

10-15-2006, 12:35 PM
Maybe he can lead them to a comeback now.

JCDavey
10-15-2006, 12:36 PM
that int wasn't brees' fault, and he actually showed pretty quicker release, i was expecting it to be stripped from the backside rusher

TJ21
10-15-2006, 12:45 PM
*******. Maybe we should've fired Marty last year, not because he did poorly, which he didn't... but because Sean Payton looks like the second coming of Don Shula. So calm and collected... so intense.

Once again.....good job Drew! The Saints are surprising me every week. Their D surprised me, their special teams surprised me, their O line surprised me today....the thing that doesnt surprise me is Drew Brees.

Class, talent, and the will to get the job done.

I Agree That Its Nice To See The Saints Win Another Great Game Against Another Great Team. As Much As It Hurt Losing Brees Because He Is A Great Qb, Im Glad They Are Winning Cause That City Went Through So Much Crap. Hey Phillyfan I Know It Hurts To Lose A Close One But Look At The Bright Side, At Least Your Team Doesnt Have To Deal With T.o's Bs

Ah, it aint so bad. I'm one of the very few, in Philly, that saw the EAGLES going 11 - 5 before preseason, and I'm sticking to it. Now if they do better than 11 - 5, well then I guess I was wrong. :)
