Man, I love L.T. and he is a for sure Hall of Famer, but so is Gwynn, and I rooted for him my entire Childhood. Theres no way that I could give the title to L.T. now, but someday maybe.

i don't doubt that LT is the Prince of San Diego, but the King is #19 and a couple of days from being confirmed a HOFer

And already holds the title....you can't just take it away from him....he played college and pro ball here as well as contributed so much to the community.....he is "Mr. San Diego" without question!!!

I know who Mrs. San Diego is. She's the one in red over there - wait, where did she go?

I think it should have been Junior on the ballot instead of LT, but Tony gets my vote anyway

Tony's gotten big enough for both the #1 and #2 spots.

Yea he's pretty much San Diego throughout college and pro. What is that, like 20+ years? LT has been in SD for about 5 years.

I like both, but people can't forget what TG has done.

i don't think it will ever be LT....

LT will always be second to TGwynn....by a hair.....

TGwynn played for the Padres for 20 years, minor organization before that...not to mention SDSU, and went back there after he graduated....I love LT, and if there was anyone to debate the issue with it would be him....but TGwynn is the man....

Tony G by far. Tony Gwynn played 20 years as a san diego padre, he was a class act and the best teammate\player you can have playing for the padres. He could have left to play for other teams and for more money, but he said loyal to his franchise. if LT plays his entire career for the chargers...and brings a championship to SD, then i think we could have a fair argument. but LT still has alot of football to be played before being called Mr. San Diego

T Gwynn because he played his WHOLE career here thru the good and the bad. He could have left for money but stayed in the greatest city on earth. Not only did he play pro here but he also played at SDSU and if I'm not mistaken was drafted by the San Diego Clippers for basketball.

Tony is Mr. San Diego. Once LT finishes his career in San Diego and then decides to coach the San Diego State football team, he can share the title with Tony.

I can believe it. We live in an ADD world and Gwynn retired 5 years ago, which may as well be 50 years ago for most people. With that being said, there will never be another Mr. San Diego like Tony Gwynn.

If LT delivers a super bowl then he is Mr. San Diego because Gwynn never won a wrold series, but as of right now, that honor goes to Tony.

If LT delivers a Super Bowl AND stays a Charger his entire career then and only then will he "pass" T Gwynn . . .

Wow! what a tough call but I will have to say Tony Gwynn! I would probably have a difference in opinion if I didn't grow up in SD though!
