San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!
We're coming your way,
We're gonna dazzle you with our super play.
The time has come,
You know we're shooting for number one.
With thunderbolts and lightning
We'll light up the sky,
We'll give it all we've got, and more
With the Super Charger try!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
Charge!
We've got a plan,
We're gonna do it for our super fans.
All we seek,
Is the goal line to victory.
We'll ignite you, excite you
With high voltage play.
We won't let up a minute,
We're going all the way - all the way!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!
San Diego Super Chargers,
San Diego Chargers!

We're coming your way
With the Super Chargers' play.

Heh heh...
As much as I think the Bolts need a new theme song, this song brings a smile to my face every time.

Brees will falter as always, I would like to see him have a great year though, he needs it. Brees bringing the Bolts to the playoffs and being selected as an all pro, nope not gonna happen.
Brees had a great year in 04, his accomplishments were of huge proportions as compared to his previous 3 years combined. I am truly happy for Brees, mostly for our Chargers as a team, who grew up last year and took the league by storm and proved the thought of the majority wrong.

I wouldn't call it the same situation because the bengals have all those 1st round Wide-Outs and we don't. Also I think that if Drew "AKA, The Breeser" keeps playing the way he does he could make the Pro Bowl Team as well as take us deep into the playoffs. I know that might sound like a reach but I like the talent we have assembled on defense expecially on the D-Line. Drafting Shaun Phillips and Dave Ball was huge these guys could have 10 plus sacks each if they continue to show improvement like they have each week. But if Mr. Fonoti plays stays focused and motivated this Offensive Line could be a great one for years to come as well. Anyway don't sleep on this offense they have something to proove and everybody has allready counted them out so what do they have to lose? Nothing just play balls out football and feed those critics a nice big sh.. burger. Go Bolts.

Although it's too early to tell I wouldn't be suprised if he put up some good numbers this year. That being said, I'm 100% behind Drew and I'm glad to see him doing well.

They should revise it Death-Metal style! Very fast, very heavy & sung in deep & growling vocals! That would rule!!

I like the chargers theme song. It's definitly a classic. My only complaint is the music they play in the stadium when your watching the football game. It's very out dated and old school. Don't get me wrong I make music And listen to a lot of old school music, but the new school music is the type of music that gets me hyped up. I don't know who controls the dj both but he's probally an old timer still stuck in the 70"s Or 80"s. For instance they need to play the new version of "lets Go" By Trick Daddy & Lil John. Now that song always hypes me up when I'm ready to go see a Chargers Game. Plus that will probally bring in a lot newer and younger generations of Charger fans.

At the Cardinal game, they played a Charger song, and a guy next to us was saying it was P.O.D. and a new song. Anyone know the name of it because it sounded really good (it wasn't all rap crap like the other Charger ones), and it's by P.O.D., a local band. :LightsOut:

P.O.D. came along when they saw Limp Bizkit was making money doing that kind of music. They change genres as much as they can to try and "survive". Biggest sellout band ever.
The problem is, they don't even have one good song and are an embarassment to San Diego. I remember when the singer got in a fight with Tom Delonge from Blink-182 because he was upset they were getting all the publicity for San Diego.

P.O.D. is the best band from San Diego? That's a stretch.
Especially over bands like Rocket From The Crypt!, Hot Snakes, No Knife, Unwritten Law, Blink-182? Atleast all those bands are more relevant than P.O.D.

P.O.D.'s style really isn't my cup of tea but from seeing those guys around at shows when they were just a local band and some when they started to get more popular I noticed how they always had time for kids who wanted to talk to them and never acted aloof. Good people and die-hard Charger fans so they get my respect. As far as the best SD band? You gotta dig back into the SD catalog a bit my friend, aside from the already mentioned here are a few;
Three Mile Pilot
Pinback/Black Heart Procession
Drive Like Jehu
Rocket/Hot Snakes/The Sultans/Pitchfork
Boilermaker
Tanner
Sub Socitey/Inch
Greyboy Allstars
The Zeros!
and many many more

As I do like blink, however, do they still live in San Diego? Whenever I see P.O.D them they remain true to their home roots and always showing love to their city and fans. Travis and the bunch moved to L.A. . I should say one of San Diego best. If you don't make it on the national level like P.O.D and Blink I don't think you get mentioned. Maybe for the local scene you can get love for best, but national level is diffrent.

Incubus is from Malibu, but yes, I believe Sprung Monkey is SD. They were playing around town back in the early nineties.
Also, yes Stone Temple Pilots are from SD as well.
How about Switchfoot? They've got a couple catchy numbers.
Also, I'm not a P.O.D. fan, but I want to kick Blink 182's ass too (just on principle) , so I don't blame him for that.

Blink182 has and always will suck!!!....I remember seeing them when I was still in High School and they were the opening band for other bands that came to SD that I really wanted to see and they were still Blink (they hadn't been forced to add the stupid 182 to their name yet).....my friends and I all thought that they sucked and then all of the sudden (a few years later) they made it big and were polluting the whole world with their lame*** music.....It's okay to like Blink182 if your a chick....If your a guy who likes them you may want to check downstairs to see if you still have a set.

Like get middle schoolers who know nothing about music like them because they followed a trend during that time?
Makes sense.
Just because they aren't rapping about shooting people, selling drugs, and sex doesn't mean they aren't good. They go 3 times platinum and you say its a trend for that time. If they were a trend (as rap is to middle class suburbia) wouldn't people have went on to buy their next album regardless of content, as seems to happen with many groups that catch a following, therefore propelling them to a higher status i.e. mainstream. They could go quintuple platinum on every record they put out and you would still find something to prove your point. You're just angry that not everyone likes your hypocritical rap music. And yes rap is the most hypocritical form of art in existence(if art is what you would call it). Besides, rap nowadays is just as mainstream as Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears.

Just about any band you can think of, I think TOOL would make a pretty awesome theme song for a team. and they certanly could improve upon POD. maybe some primus, kyuss/queens of the stone age, NIN could also make a good heavy theme song. A hip hop theme song would be cool too, maybe some Heiro, or living legends would be nice

"We still are Raider hatin'"
Why acknowledge an opposing team at all in your song. It doesn't make sense and gives the impression that the Chargers are insecure about their place in the NFL. No need to diss another team to make yourselves feel better even if the RaiTURDS suck.
The old disco version is still the best IMHO. I just wish I could find a full version somewhere.

Nice. Wherever the Pats are staying we should have it played in the main lobby 24/7 alternating with the Supercharger song.

I don't think The Smoking Gun has any credibility. Aren't most, if not all, of their stories fake?

Anyway, I like the song. Chargers songs with rap usually sound lame but I like the POD version.

The chorus is a ripoff of queen's "we will rock you"
I knew there was a reason why I liked the chorus and not the rest of the song.

BTW: I've been a long time POD fan. Since the Brown album came out. Their newer stuff was OK but, the OLD stuff ROCKED.
I also happen to love RAP (oldschool and newschool), ROCK, HIP HOP, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock etc.
POD is classified as Christian Rock (in case y'all didn't know). All the members of the band are Christians. And most of their music is Christ oriented. They didn't like being pigeon holed as "Christian" music when they went to the secular market because they said it was hindering their record sales. It was after they went from being a "Christian Rock" band to the secular band, they lost Marcus (or whatever his name is) and lost record sales and haven't done quite as well as they had before.
Just some interesting food for thought. :D

Oh yeah, I could TOTALLY picture TOOL making a football anthem. Yeah. Totally...
TOOL...civic pride and enthusiasm. They go together like peas and ice cream!

Tool has been making records since P.O.D. was an itch in the pants. With that said, P.O.D. wrote a great song for the Chargers, but let's not jump to conclustions that TOOL could not do the same.

It's not a matter of whether they could write a good football anthem. Of course they could probably write the best one in history.
But the idea of Tool doing something that "sunny" makes me laugh.
Though I did hear that Tool played that dumb event in November that I can never remember the name of in old town.

The questions is ... DID they? The answer is no. P.O.D. did. They're from San Diego, and did a song to show their support of the Chargers. Get over it.
If NIN or Primus, or Snoop decided to do a Chargers song, I'm sure it would get just as much pub as this one is. Quit hatin' and start celebratin'!

Can you help identify a song played at games which sounds similar to Scorpions "No One Like You"?
I had a Chief fan in the parking lot at Arrowhead threaten to rip my cd player out of the dashboard because I had the song on repeat playing very loudly.
I had my stereo in the truck this past game thumping that song and everyone was looking at me funny. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. screw the chefs
