Ooops..........Not the Mod here , but "I may be going out on a limb here" ............probably in hindsight the day after the game MIGHT not have been the best time to post seeing as there were plenty (Unlike yourself Sir) who WERE only interested in "Talking Trash" and the Mod's decided in the best interest of all concerned that all Pat's Fan's be banned until Cooler Heads prevailed.

From my experience on this Forum , I've found our Mods to be pretty Liberal in regards to "Other Teams Fans" , so I am sure this could explain the reason for you being Banned.

Anyway , I'm sure One of them will see your Post and give you an explanation.....................Hey , by the way..........Welcome Back !!!!

Not true. These boards were not down for even ten minutes. We did close down new sign ups, which we do for every game because the games keep us busy just monitoring our own people. Anyone, Patriot fans included, that were members before the game were able to come and go as they wished. Three or four years ago we played the Jets pretty early in the season, the Chargers were big favorites but lost. Before that game, we never had one Jets fan visit the forum, not even one, after that game we were bombed by thousands of Jets fans that made so many nasty, venomous posts, that the Server quit on us. We had to spend most of the next two days deleting inappropriate posts and getting the Server back on line. Ever since then, it's been our policy to turn off the new sign ups for the games. It's a matter of keeping the forum servers working and keeping the forum available to our members. I suspect that's exactly why the Patriots board was not available to non-members.

After all is said and done, this forum was created for Charger fans. We could care less if raider fans or Patriot fans or any other fans don't like it - it's for Charger fans. By the way, I signed up last year to a raiders board and used the name Charger fan and they locked me out. If this board doesn't fit your style, go back to the raiders board and you can enjoy every four letter word you ever dreamed of. :)

Just towards Pats fans? No. There will always be trash talk, and it is usually in the Smack Shack but sometimes it goes astray. I'm sure that you noticed the numerous articles that followed the game between teh Chargers and the Pats therefore it can be said that there was some specific negative tranference passed on via this board towards Pats fans everywhere.

you're a good poster 40yr. I realize that you didn't talk smack that was over the top but it's better to ban them all and let the true fans shine through and resign up. You've done that so we could continue to talk football. There was just an overwhelming amount of Patsie fans that were talking like this was Myspace or something. The mods really can't go through every post and check to see if they affended anyone so they just banned you all. If any Pats fans want to come back and chat about football you're more than welcome. To tell you the truth I had no idea that VERBAGE was a word. I knew that verbiage was but darn, I'm gonna have to use this more often when I'm critiquing those around me...
The only problem is you will have to explain it all the time.

I have a similar problem with a word/phrase that was termed by the philosopher Alan Watts in the 1960s. I use it all the time but it never came into common enough use to get into any dictionaries.

Paraphrased: As best as I can remember it.
"If I may, I will now coin a new term. 'ignore-ance' - defined as: that state in which one emphasizes those things that suit their prejudices and ignores all other factors."

Naturally, they all think that I am calling them ignorant, when it has a different meaning altogether.

But I must 'bunker down' for awhile now, as the mod's stealth planes are zeroing in on me even as I type and they are eagerly fingering the triggers.
