I knew there had to be a curse or some kind of black magic involved in that loss. There were way too many mistakes on our team for it have been anything else. Next time Durking should keep his mouth shut.

I concur....Also they should investigate that so-called "NBC news affiliate" to see if he was in fact a spy send by the Patriots organization in order to perform voodoo on the Chargers... It's truely quite mind baffling as to how he couldn't catch a card out of mid air, and notice how he was smiling and giggling like a little school girl afterwards?...Suspicious behavior if you ask me.:LightsOut:

So you expect me to believe that the Patriots beat the Chargers on skill alone? I don't think so. 99 times out of a 100 the Chargers win that matchup. Why is it that the Patriots won this time? It has to be something supernatural. Maybe Marty made a deal with the devil that if he went 14-2, he wouldn't mind losing in the playoffs.

I'm with the theory that someone posted about the POD song cursing us.

I also think Qualcomm is cursed. Let's get a new stadium anywhere. That ground is tainted!!

There were 10 seconds left... all they had to do was walk away... just like in the game, we had the win and let it slip instead of walking away... it the hugest metaphor in real life I've ever seen...

I agree 100% and I'm not sure why everyone keeps forgetting that fact.

From there the Chargers are 9 point favorites in the SB and win by 21. Schottenheimer and all the coaches stay on and we win 3 straight for the first time in NFL history making the Chargers the greatest of all time.

Oh well, it'll still happen. It just starts one year later and I can wait.

I'll never get over it. This was supposed to be our year.

Ok, let me rephrase then...
...I thought we were OVER bringing it up and withering away in our sadness over the loss in SD in January.

We'll NEVER get over it, but we need to finally get thru it before we self implode...

Please. All this chat of voodoo curses.

If Voodoo was real the Saints would have won 23 Super Bowls by now.

I went to high school with Todd Durkin. Bricktown NJ. He was my lab partner in Biology II. Great guy. I'm not sure we can blame him entirely for the loss.
