This is such a sad story. A fellow Chargers fan, family guy with 3 kids, is just having a good time watching the Chargers/Colts game, enjoying the rest of the afternoon heading to a bbq and gets gunned down trying to do the right thing. It's just not right - completely, utterly, arrrgh! Words just can't describe this or any senseless murder. I pray that his family and friends find some kind of comfort through all this and that his soul rests in peace.

Friends plan ways to help family of shooting victim

Suspect still at large, police say
TEMECULA -- As detectives continued to search for the person who gunned down a 37-year-old man outside his Moraga Road apartment Sunday, friends of the victim on Tuesday planned how to best help his wife and three children.
One of the friends described the shooting, and how Michael Dean Montanez died in his arms.

As a man who myself has stepped in more than once, I sit here and think that could be anyone of us. I hope he is caught quickly and the punishment is severe. My prayers to the family.

That is very sad to hear that, and in front of his family, The children are sad but intime they will know what a HERO THEIR DAD IS................

Senseless loss of Life , yet again.
We live in a Sad World I'm afraid , this is a perfect example.
Glad to hear the Family is being taken care of.
Let's hope our Boy's can win it this week in his memory.

This is a sad story told over nd over. Good man hears couple arguing and just try's to calm the situation and crazy boyfriend shoots to kill. More senseless violence. My ex and I once lived in an apartment complex and he also stepped in to stop senseless violence. The man was dragging his girlfriend around the apartments and he tried to intervene. That man went back to his apartment and chased my ex and his friend around the aprtments with a gun for 45 minutes before the police showed up. Theyfound a compassionate neighbor who let them hide in their apartment until the police showed up. It's scary out there and good people have to be careful.
My condoleneces to the family.

I have seen this sort of idiotic thing happen before. It is senseless and barbaric. Our thoughts go out to his family!!!!!!!

This is so ****ed up! A man gunned down senselessly right outside of his own home and his 9-year old son has to see his father laying dead on the ground... it makes me sick to hear that! I hope they catch the piece of **** who shot him!

We got to accept things, even it's utter bs. Some people are just ignorant. Yeah he's a Charger Fan, but that's not all he is. He has a mother, a father, kids, a wife, a cousin, a family.
So messed up, I have to shake my head to that.
The people, you see in your everyday life who you don't know are someone, they're fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, etc, to someone.
May you find some peace.
