Here is a good article on the man....
I don't care what happens from here on out, Hoffman is our guy, and will represent the Friars in Cooperstown, in his right place, next to TGwynn.

Hoffman is still the man...he saves 40 plus saves a year, has the best percentage of successful saves, and yet he slips up and that becomes the only thing anyone remembers is the negative. Hoffman is like the Nate Kaeding of the Padres.

Hoffman ready to give away a few more games?
Yeah. He'll give away a few and save a lot, just like every year.
NOBODY has saved more games than Hoffman...ever.
I'll take 4-5 2.98 and 42 Saves (7 blown) every year.

Will the BBWA ever elect Hoffy to the Hall?
Have denied him the Cy Young twice.

yeah, i know...but it took a large sum of cash and a cush job....which means going in as a padre might not have been his first choice....
Tgwynn and Hoffman have no choice...and that is not a bad thing

After Streinbrener tried to get dirt on him, the Yankees were off the table, Blue Jays or Twins were the competition.
