It might have prevented him from testing positive last season for a banned stimulant, resulting in a suspension for the first 25 games of this season.

This puts a little different spin on the positive test that earned him a 25 game vacation.

But it was the second time he had been caught. Why wouldnt he do this after the first positive test? Then he lied about it and used the supplement excuse. Maybe its just me but I dont buy this story.

He's just trying to beat the punishment. He's hoping that the psychiatrist will find that his amphetamines could be usefull in case he has a post-concussion syndrome that hasn't yet been diagnosed.

"I may be fine, but (the test) can't hurt," Cameron told USA Today. "I just want to find out for sure, and whether I need anything to help me."

He also says that he didn't intentionally use the anphetimines, but they were contained within a drink he obtained from GNC.
