I been reading some articles from the denver post and what not and its almost like super bowl talk over there, They also talk about 7-0 easily and how the division is pretty much wrapped up. Im gettiing kinda worried I almost honetsly think were gonna be a wildcard team, I looked at Denvers schedule and its not tough at all.

Dont be worried. This is a young team in Denver that still has a lot to prove and SD is a great team that is stepping on the gas now. Like last year, remember? I expect this one to come down to the wire... in fact, when we play in your home it's gonna be HUGE!!!

Denver has a good offense, no question. But they are going to have to keep it up over 16 games, something they haven't been able to do for a while now.
Cutler is a good QB, but still prone to key mistakes in the red zone, and turns the ball over too much in critical situations. They don't have a strong running game, and they will run up against better defenses than they have faced that will shut them down.
The Denver defense is atrocious. Much worse than ours. With us, we have key players working back from injury and are missing our two best linebackers. With Denver, what you see is what you get. And that's surrendering 72 points in 2 games and winning because of blown calls and missed field goals.

Oh.. and those are IDIOTS who are talking Super Bowl already. Maybe if our d started to lock it up and we were sitting at 9-1 or soemthing unexpected like that.. but now? NOt yet. We beat a pathetic Raiders team, got some help to beat you missing a few studs and eeked by NO.... LONG ways to go. Though the Chiefs ought be fun this weekend.

Now, enough...don't worry!

their schedule is pretty easy. Ours isn't all that tough either IMO. We'll be back in first place by week 8, and clinch the division week 15, 16 or 17. Superbowl talk is waaaay premature.

They end the season @Carolina, Buffalo and @SD. That's a rough end to their season. Think of it this way. We should beat the snot out of them in SD. That leaves a one game difference. If we can't make up one game we deserve to come in 2nd.

And the truth be told, the chargers can win with out certain pro bowl players not being available...ie SM, mcneil, injuried gates and LT.

well you're partly right on your post...but let me correct you on a couple things...
our defense is atrocious...i have no defense for that (no pun intended)...
but to say we don't have a strong run game is simply not true...the Broncos are 3rd in the AFC in rushing with at almost 5 ypc...we have two backs avg over 5ypc as well...just because our passing game has strengthened doesn't mean we don't run the ball well...
if anything its the chargers with a poor run game ranking 11th in the AFC and 23rd overall, with just a 3.7 ypc...you guys are gonna be too one dimensional with those types of numbers...
and lastly u mentioned Cutler makes mistakes in the redzone...you're generalizing from just 1 game...Cutler has thrown 1 redzone int in his career... just 1...
the chargers are certainly not going anywhere, the chargers are still SB contenders but if i were you i'd be more concern of the charger's defense and run game than denver's right now...

Guys, we're three games into the season. It's much too early for anybody to have a lock on the playoffs and nobody's out of the playoff hunt yet.
Look, the Broncos have a recent history of second half meltdowns. On the other hand, we're a really strong second half team that starts the season really slowly. Give it some time before you start handing them the AFCW title.
Their D is atrocious and that's going to catch up with them soon. I promise. Now don't panic and hop off the bandwagon just yet, guys.

Wow, I was going to start the same thread.
Listen, if you take a hard look at the schedule, I dont see how Denver does any worse than 10-6. If you look at ours, I think we'll do pretty good just to reach 10-6. I see our most probable losses to Buffalo, Atlanta, New Orleans and either/or Pittsburgh or Tampa. That would make us 10-6. Let's hope Denver runs into a tough patch and we start rollin' like last year.

I don't know if you watched the game last night, but we held the Jets to 42 rushing yards. And Stephen Cooper comes back in week 5, the run D will be fine.
And why would you assume that New Orleans beats us? They match up HORRIBLY against us. They are a finesse team without much of a defense. Hard-nosed, physical teams with power running attacks pose much more difficulties. We always stop small, slashing RB's like Reggie Bush, and dink-and-dunk QB's like Brees may get their yards but not without 2 or 3 picks. Meanwhile, LT and Rivers will shred that suspect defense. We should take week 8 easily.
I'm sorry, but I can't take your post seriously at all.

Denver will be tested in October. TB, Jacksonville and NE could all be tough games for them. Then they end the season with Carolina, Buffalo and the Chargers.
Atlanta won't be a push over for them either. Ditto the Jets game @ NY and Cleveland.
We definately need to get on a roll but catching Denver is possible. We stick to our guns, we do it.

Your post is funny. The jets had 42 yards rushing. On how many attempts? Do you know?......13. They didnt even try to run. They had the same rushing average per carry as our team.
As for NO, it's in another country. That's enough to even things out. Reggie Bush is a finesse rusher?? You didnt watch their game this weekend obviously. He was pounding all game. And as much as I like Rivers, Brees is still the better QB. You dont think he likes to throw deep?

For the past few years, we have forced teams to abandon the running game by getting out to early leads. I don't see how that will change this year. Atlanta's defense is not special, we will get on them early and force Ryan to pass the ball.
How does the fact that week 8 is in England "even things out"? What does that even mean? You're saying that an overseas trip is somehow an advantage for NO?
Yes, Brees loves to dink and dunk. He can throw deep, but his first inclination is usually a short slant or dump-off to Bush. And make no mistake, Bush is a finesse back. I can't believe I'm even discussing this. Denver's D made Darren Sproles look like a power back, but that don't mean he is one. Bush will not have success running the ball against the Chargers, mark it down. The Chargers always shut down slashing, cutback runners, don't expect this year to be different.
And as much as I like Rivers, Brees is still the better QB.
So far this year he's not. I'm sure Brees will play with a chip on his shoulder, which will make things interesting. But I really like our D against that offense.

I think the idea is more about their playing style.
Spread offense passing teams without much defense frequently race out to good records before falling back to earth in November and December because it's tougher to pass the ball in the cold.
Denver fits the profile.

Denver is a pretender who would have no shot at the division without that call from their daddy. They didn't earn their position, they bought it. Whatever happens from here on out, doesn't change that fact.
Yes, Denver will win the division. Their schedule is pathetically easy. I have posted here before that that call cost sd the afcw. That is why I got so upset, and that is why the league should overturn the call and award sd the game. Anything short is unacceptable. Oh, and a formal, national apology is in order as well.

Wow, I think the Webster's Dictionary should put this quote under the definition of "Sour grapes". Wow, just wow.
Anyways, in reply to the original topic: Yes the Broncos have an easy schedule and yes they are off to a good start but it's definitely not over. I think you are getting a little too caught up in the Denver hype about this team. We are Bronco obsessed in Denver and when things are going great everybody is affected. Of course, this is also true when we are doing bad as all the writers take a very negative view.
I'm not here to start a huge argument but something that I'd really like to point out is that you guys did play the Jets. Yes you dominated them and yes you looked good, but it really reminds me of when the Broncos played the Raiders week 1. How much of an indication is this really how good your team is? How do you know that the next time you play a good offensive team you won't get torn up again? Remember that there are two constants when it comes to Brett Favre: he will start no matter what, and he will throw interceptions.
The biggest test for the Broncos is going to be the next three games going into the bye. I hope to come out with at least two wins. If the Broncos do really prove how good they are and come out with three wins then we have a good chance of winning at least 12 games this year because quite frankly our schedule is easy until the last three games of the season.

Bro they are all hype over here.. But if not for that 1 call they would be pissing and moaning that Cutler is just another Plumber.
What I love the most is the famous line "we still had to score the touchdown and the conversion" The fail to take into consideration that it was against a deflated D that knew they shouldn't even be on the field. Comedy, pure comedy!
Nothing to worry about yet though. Denver is decent but their record is all smoke and mirrors.

Look the Donks are hyped up right now. They should have the same record as us or be 1-2. They have a great offense but they have no defense and I don't think it will get better. The difference between us and them is that we are fixing our defense and have the talent and skills to. them not so much. Having Cutless throw 40 times a game won't get them wins all the time.
Wow it must be nice to say a bunch of random things and make it seem like fact. So somehow the Broncos can't improve their defense but the Chargers can? And your reasoning for that is "because"?
How do you know your defense is improved? After the Raiders game it sure looked like our defense was pretty good, but then we all remembered that we were playing the Raiders. Or maybe the Broncos defense just looks horrible because we played two great pass offenses in a row.
Your "improved" defense sure hasn't proved anything yet because you played the Jets. I'll believe it when they play a real offense. Oh wait, they already did, it was the Broncos, and they sure had their way.

Maybe because we actually have players that have PROVED they can be successful in this league. Maybe because our starting ILB will be back in a week. Maybe because we are starting to see an improvement.
And sorry bud, your D looked pathetic against the Bolts. They had a chance to put us away and they didn't do ****. In fact, our D, the one you are ripping on, completely shut down the Donks in the second half. Getting better from halftime shows improvement. Getting worse is the Donks

That is all he has. He hasn't had a good game since he hurt his thumb against the Raiders. Against the Chargers he was going against the backup LT. And against the Saints their left tackle got hurt in the first half and he was ineffective. That thumb injury is affecting his play. EDIT: Actually I think he broke his pinky and Marquand Manuel broke his thumb....

I wish we would get somebody at DE. But I think Shanahan is going to keep the defensive line as is for the rest of the season.

You guys can say you were cheated all you want. Fans in Denver don't really give a damn. A Win is a Win. And we outplayed you for most of the game.

We got outplayed in the 3rd Quarter only. Both defenses got outplayed. We had a 9 minute drive in the 4th quarter where Cutler had his only turnover in his career in the redzone. Denver was the better team on the week. FACT.

i would laugh so hard if the chiefs just spanked them out of nowhere next week....
but in all seriousness, who cares? even if they do luck their way into the playoffs it's one and out, this team is far from championship material.

You all have no running game and your defense is pretty bad. you will see how important it is to have a running game late in the season.

Cheifs will make Cutler look like "the Day Plummer Got Fired" on Sunday. The game will be airing on Comedy Central.

I think he would like to see Tim Crowder and Jarvis Moss get some playing time. But we sure as heck will try and get some safties. We have gotten rid every one of our safties from last year and have brought in 4 or 5 new ones lol.

Its a youth movement in Denver. A good chunk of our starters came from the past 3 drafts.
