ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — Center Tom Nalen, the last link to the Broncos' Super Bowl titles of the late 1990s, was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his season and likely spelling the end of his career in Denver.
The 37-year-old Nalen, who is in the final year of his contract, underwent two surgeries on his left knee this summer and missed the team's first three games. The Broncos had left him on the roster hoping for his quick return.

I don't recall Dick Butkis and Deacon Jones ever going low and wiping out opponents knees and ankles. Nalen made a living as a "goon" and will always be remembered as such.

Athletes losing their careers over injuries always sucks...but this is a guy who aimed to do just that to other players.

besides kicker and quaterback linemen is one of if not the oldest position.

but nalen is like 38 or something. which is old for any position.

anyway as much as i love nalen, casey wiegmann has been great for us so far this season.
