The 49ers this morning signed fullback David Kirtman (6-0, 238) off the Chargers' practice squad to take the roster spot vacated when Zak Keasey was placed on injured reserve.
...
Kirtman is familiar with the 49ers' offensive terminology, having spent the summer with the Chargers. But coach Mike Nolan said he is not sure how long it will take Kirtman to put himself in a position to be part of the 45-man game day roster.

Teams seem to dip into the chargers practice squad for players.

Maybe they shoud considering dipping into the Chargers scouting dept. for better scouts.

Good, now there is room to sign Marcus thomas to the PS, or drop someone from the regular squad to the PS and sign Tony Hunt!
