PITTSBURGH — Four sacks. Four! The Chargers have gone four weeks without sacking a quarterback.
Not that it made any difference. After months of having their inability to pressure quarterbacks cited as a major reason why they are last in the NFL in pass defense and careening even farther out of the postseason picture, the Chargers finally had a game in which the opposing quarterback went down with ball in hand, and still Sunday's 11-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers came down to the visitors being utterly incapable of stopping a passer.
