These are not grades of how they judge our pick...these are just the grades on how they good of a football player they are.
1. Larry English---89 (good grade, maybe a little low)
3. Louis Vasquez---59 (very underrated)
4. Vaughn Martin---20 (assuming Martin is terrible because he's canadian?!?!)
4. Tyronne Green---74 (good grade!)
4. Gartrell Johnson---37 (apparently a 4.7 forty time means you're a failure)
5. Brandon Hughes---48 (decent grade, maybe a little low)
6. Kevin Ellison---58 (good grade, can't we make him a 60 overall at least?!)
7. Demetrius Byrd---70 (good grade!, probably graded before car crash)
Personally i think that Scouts Inc. is one big JOKE!

It's a good thing there's a difference between real life and Madden

i think assigning points to a player is better than assigning round projections.

Only if there is a published and accepted method for doing such.
Did Scouts Inc. publish how they assigned the points?

Perhaps Martin was graded so low due to lack of info on him? Or a lack of talent against him up there? I read that he showed off his skills at Michigan and was taken when no players from that college were selected.

I agree. Lack of tape, and lack of competition. But in their league his team played for their championship, so at least he was playing against the best of the best of whatever the competition is like in Canada. Personally, for the Chargers, I think Vaugn Martin could be another significant find along the same level as Antonio Gates at tight end. Look at the kids size and strength and speed for a man so huge. And that hugeness isn't fat. And then check out his wunderlich. He's a very smart well spoken kid. I think he sees significant playing time in his rookie season, mostly coming at the second half of the season, where he might actually be brought in as the starter at Olshanky's old spot if heshows that he has what it takes to start. Think back to when Olshanky was drafted in the 2nd round. He was 299 lbs of muscle and started right away , counting on his size and strength to occupy opposing linemen. Well, Vaugn martin is bigger, faster, and probably stronger than Olshanky ever was. With his size and strength and speed I dont see him riding the pine for too long. And then in a couple of years if he shows he can step in for Jamal, the Chargers are going to continue to be strong against the run for a very long time.

Does everyone really think that highly of Martin? I dont know him, and I guess I will have to take everyones word for it. He would have still been ther later than what we got him, and the nfl.com crew expressed that by saying he wasnt even on the board.
I dont know, I am from Canada. The football up here isnt that good, or I would be an Edmonton Eskimo fan instead. Our best college team, would get throttled by most or all of the worst ones in the states.
Truthfully, and this is not my opinion, because I do not know this kid. Is he even gonna crack the roster when they expose how little he knows about the US, and the Nfl game? His playbook at western ontario is about three pages, compared to the 8 inch novels in the US. I just am not sure about this one.
I still feel like the chargers needed to get an every down mlb, that can start right away, beside cooper. Wilhelm, and Burnett, are not that guy! Rey would have been a great pick for us.

I agree, thats exactly what they did! Its not his fault that they can't be bothered to find tape on this guy, so they assume he must be crap. I don't believe any of this draft grading stuff anyway, chris johnson got an F last year and mcfadden got an A, what does that say?

That is why I dont pay attention to this kinda stuff. for all we know Gatrell Johnson could be better than wells and moreno (IMO he will be) we just need watch them play. Vaughn could be a beast with his size but so could have Igor

I'd have to wonder if these values aren't for their starting ability or maybe how groomed they are for the NFL?
Considering that the level of football experience that Martin has is minimal I can see a low grade on him. He's basically a monster of a guy that likes playing football and is really strong/athletic. I'd bet that he'd have been a first rounder if he'd spent significant time playing in a more competitive/structured environment in which to hone his skills and demonstrate ability against better competition, but that's just me.
