My school (Paloma Valley, in Riverside County) plays Mission Bay in week 1 of the upcoming reg. season. I heard they have the #4 RB in the country. Any truth to this?

Dillon Baxter is one of the elite prospects out of San Diego this year.

well we played yesterday and we lost 15 to 38. ouch.

he was playing QB in this game, rolling out often. He can throw decently, but he is no matt barkley throwing the ball. I was thinking mission bay put him at QB to minimize the chance of injury to him before going to 'SC.

We face the mighty Dillion Baxter today at 6p.
I know we cant stop him...but we should be able to slow him down.
We are...the #1 ranked small school in the State of California

Baxter is a beast....we couldn't stop him. 280 yds rushing and he missed the second quarter. The game was closer than the score looks (43-28), my son ran a kickoff back (85yds) but later fumbled going into the endzone when we were down by 8.

Baxter ended up being the MaxPreps high school football player of the year. Way to go Dillon, hope you tear it up at SC!

Baxter ended up being the MaxPreps high school football player of the year. Way to go Dillon, hope you tear it up at SC!unless I was the #1 player in the country at my position. And SC had no depth at the position I would NEVER play there. You would have a much better chance at getting drafted if you went to a smaller school. Why to you think T-Gaff went to stanford? besides also playing baseball.

The top three are from California:

#1 Dillon Baxter, Mission Bay
#2 Brennan Clay, Scripps Ranch
#3 D.J. Morgan, Taft (Woodland Hills)

That is probably what Brady Hoke has been telling him, hoping he rethinks his decision. Personally I think it would be great if he stayed local, but unlikely.

Ya I have talked to a guy who was in the NFL for a few years in the 70s, and He said that colleges will attempt to get as many good high school players as they can just so other colleges cant get those players. He said that some coach(I forgot who, it was some big name guy) told him that he "never hurt them by giving them an opportunity to play at" whatever school it was.
