interesting that they would do that, as you would have thought that they know that Favre is a one year project, if even that, and having the young QBs competing behind him might help them. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to see Denver try and get him - he isn't any worse than what they have now.

Actually Favre signed a 2 year contract , which means little mind you , but couple the fact that they have obviously decided Rosenfels would be the backup to Favre and he becomes expendable . I doubt they'll get anyone trying to knock down their doors trying to take Jackson off their hands , he's just not very good . Who would want to give up a draft pick for someone they'd never use ? Maybe the donks could use him though .

I guess they think Booty is the future, and Rosenfels has great value to them as an experienced back up, and temporary starter if needed.

He put up some good numbers at the end of the regular season, which I think will entice teams. Even though they were inflated by facing defenses that had no reason to bring their A game (Cards, Giants, Falcons' overcommittment to stopping the run) or had no A game (Lions), it shows that he can come off of the bench and be productive. I think there's quite a few teams out there with uncertainty at who is going to be their #2 QB who will look at this as an opportunity to buy low. Someone will give him a shot. I don't think he's going to win any starting positions any time soon, but you never know with this league...

I think last year he seemed to do pretty well when he came off of the bench. I know early in the season he was dealing with his 15 month old son having a pace maker put in so I can understand why his mind wasn't totally on the game. I think the Vikes should give him a little more time.

they're probably planning on drafting a qb next draft, and there looks to be alot of good ones possibly

A Tim Tebow-led Vikings team with Peterson in the backfield would be a scary combo.

(*NOTE: This is only if drama queen "retires" again during the offseason, lol)

Maybe USC wants him?

Jackson might end up as a 3rd string QB somewhere, but he's career is coming to an early ending.

I hope he can get his career back on track, I think he could go somewhere like Cleveland, or anywhere but here in the AFC west and compete for a starting Job. He is definitely better than any of the other starting QBs in the west.

I don't think Tebow will be a very good QB in the NFL , he's not that great of a passer . I do think Bradford from Oklahoma will be , very accurate , good arm . Not sold on McCoy from Texas either . Tebow is better than McCoy IMO , not sure either will start in the NFL . Back-ups more than likely .

Matt Cassel, Tyler Thigpen, JaMarcus Russell.

Jackson and Orton are probably equally as bad

The Vikings are banking everything on Favre.

They've lost their two backups. I'm sure if they aren't traded, they take the next ship out.
