Steelers cut RB Isaac Redman

One day after Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he was keeping his cuts under his hat, the team announced that it had released 21 players and placed veteran TE Sean McHugh on injured reserve.

As expected, the Steelers cut RB Isaac Redman, an undrafted rookie from Bowie State who was the star of the preseason for Pittsburgh. He scored three of the team’s five rushing touchdowns, but the Steelers likely want to put him on their practice squad.

Forget Gartrell, get this guy. Bettis 2.0. ;)

Seriously though, this guy is a stud, I watched him quite a bit, and he mows people down. Not a whole lot of speed, but he is like a Semi Truck, he is not stopping without causing a pile-up and gaining a bunch of yards.

He'll probably get snagged by one of the sorry ass teams that have first dibs on the waiver wire.

Unfortunately, you are probably right. Although, GJ and Bennett both made it, so it would be pointless to sign him now.

He was real impressive in the action I saw during pre season. We are really stacked at rb so I don't think we need this at all but if we picked him up I wouldn't mind because he definitely looked a lot better than Gartrell has so far. I'm not ready to count out Gartrell out though just yet. Hopefully he can turn into the player that we all think he can. He deserves at least a year before we kick him out for someone new I think.
