The Who is a cool band, but Roger Daltrey's voice is shot, he sounds all gravelly, so I wonder if he'll lip sync.

I say King Diamond for the half time show.

I saw The Who in '82 and Daltry's voice was crap then. He hasn't been all that great live for quite some time.

I did hear some live shows from their tour a few years back. Sirius had a special channel for them for about a month. Townsend still sounds pretty good.

It's hard to replace Entwistle's unique bass sound. They've had some decent drummers step in for Moon.

Drums haven't been a problem for The Who, Ringo Starr's son is their drummer and he was taught by Keith Moon and drums similar to Keith Moon.

Bass, yeah the guy they have is exceptional, he is the dude who tours with Pete when Pete goes solo, but exceptional isn't nearly as good as Entwistle.

I suspect as opposed to lip syncing there will be some well placed back tracking.

Besides Baba and Won't get Fooled, etc .... two of the best songs they did when I saw them in the 80's were Entwistle's "My Wife" and "Boris the Spider" ... awesome. Entwistle was underrated as a song writer. His "Trick of the Light" is an exceptional song.

Another geriatric act that I won't be watching. Hopefully there is some kind of alternate halftime show again as there were in past years on different channels. If not, I guess that will be time to focus on the pizza and wings.

The way Super Bowl halftime shows are right now, maybe we will be able to see the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears performing in Super Bowl 65!!!!

A great ambassador band of the time IMO would be SLIPKNOT
Haha, I like Slipknot and everything, but I really doubt they would ever play (be allowed to play) at a Superbowl.

And their masks really do scare me a little... Wait, should I have posted that in green, even if its kind of true? Oh well.
