So he gets suspended for the season and has to be away from the team.
Yet:
He can still beg the league and be allowed to show up for games.
He can still negotiate a contract under suspension.

I'm not understanding the point of the suspension if he can keep getting around it to interact with the team in different "non-coaching" ways.

Worst thing that could happen to this team. His play calls are not going to work without talented players everywhere on an offense.

I saw Gruden was being mentioned today as maybe coach of the Eagles for next year. It's just a rumor, though.
