Unfortunately I think playing a Monday Night game kinda hurt us a tad on the free agent front. Choosing to wait until we played our first game(on Mon) to allow us to not guarantee any contract signed after really hurt our chances of landing any serviceable OT or CB. Many teams that played on Sunday had Tackles and Corners go down and having already played their first game had first crack at the serviceable players that were left. We did the best we could with Reggie Wells on the Oline but is there any corners left at all worth looking at? With only three corners that are somewhat healthy (one with a cast and one coming off a hammy injury) we are in serious need of some depth/bodies.

After a little poking around on the internet here are a few names that popped up. Out of this bunch I would lean toward Carr or McFadden.
McFadden, 30, has played in 96 games and made 52 starts, mostly with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He spent one season in Arizona. Sheppard, 31, started seven games last season in Oakland after playing seven seasons in Philadelphia and one each with the Jets and Vikings. He’s played in 126 games and made 79 career starters. Goodman, 34, started 16 games last season with Denver. He’s played in 127 games and made 95 starts. Chris Carr, 29, started 16 games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2010. He’s more known for his punt and kickoff return skills, but has played in 103 games and started 27. |

Me too, simply because they'll have familiarity with our style of defense.

No one available has the talent to replace our starters unless we are working a trade

Stanford Routt just got waived by the Chiefs. Another Chief reject to join the Chargers and strive? I hope so, I really liked him in Oakland a bit there and would like to see him in a Charger uniform. It can't be any worse than what we have, right?

Ack! No thanks... I was thrilled when he stayed in the AFCW so we could play against him twice a year.
