When things don't go well or in the right direction change is needed. This usually starts at the top. That means AJ and Norv. This would appear to be a landmark year. Unless we turn it around and make some noise in the PO I'd say Dean has some tough choices to make.

You could certainly imagine practice going well and at the same time gameday not reflecting what happened in practice...

Each team has their own philosophy on the emphasis of a head coach...few head coaches excell in all facets of the game...hence assistants...

People are rarely happy with what they got...get rid of one guy to get rid of the next...No doubt they are tough choices...choices that take more thought than we give them...

By the way, the tittle is more than Xs and Os...there are plenty of threads for the Norval Negative Nancies...why not keep this one clean...eh?

It's possible to have a practice go well and then flop in the real game, happens all the time, just not consistantly or repeatenly with a good coach and good personnel.

Don't know which is the problem in SD, suspect some of both. But the bigger picture is that Norv has had six years here and the trend is pointing downward. Most analysts believe the Chargers have been good enough to win the AFC West in the last two years, many fans agree. But we keep having problems that have kept us out. Sometimes you just have to make a change whether or not it's a reflection on the HC. Could get worse or it could get better. But doing nothing is not going to be an option if we don't make the PO this year.

Like it or not the NFL is a business and like the product on the field the business end is trending downward. If you don't think that matters to Spano you would be wrong.

As to negative nancy comments, suggest you keep them to yourself. I didn't name call like some and kept my posts clean and honest. In the end both of us are voicing our opinion which is what this forum is all about. Don't agree then respond to the opinion, no personal attacks please.

Noev may be more than X´s and O´s but he needs to demand more from his team, otherwise this will be his last year as HC, and if his players really love to play for him, PLAY BETTER!!!!!
