More serious note, same truck (F-150 SuperCrew Lariat), three weeks after I bought it new in 2001 -- drunk driver in Camaro rear ends me at 96 mph (I was stuck at stoplight in semi-rural are on down side of a hill).
They estimated 96 because police departments from 5 different jurisdictions that this knucklehead had passed through, and which were all in high speed pursuit, all said they were going 100mph, and his skid marks before impact were only 4 feet long (can you say BLIND drunk??)
Obviously his car disintegrated. My truck? Not so much. Bed jackknifed, driven 10 inches into cab. God bless USAA (sarcasm on), they did not total my brand new truck, but fixed it.
I decided to love her for protecting me. Had to let her go when she finally gave out at 250k earlier this year.
Always wanted a bumper sticker that said "F-150: 2 Rear Ending Cars: 0"
