As long as Manning is in Denver, and we have Norv, it's their division to loose.
Another radical idea is to start rebuilding after this year. Manning has a good 2-3 years left. Assuming that Denver wins the division for the next couple of years, this is the time to start rebuilding. Look at the other 2 teams in the division. KC is probably rebuilding as well. Let's hope that Oakland stays incompetent and tries to compete the next couple years with Palmer. It's basically between us and KC around 2014 and beyond. We can always flip Rivers and Gates for some picks. If you look at the rest of our roster, Weddle is the only one that is in his prime. Jammer, Spikes, Phillips, Hardwick have all seen better days. We can rebuild around the young nucleus of Ingram, Butler, Liuget, Green, Brown, maybe Mathews plus whatever picks we get. Otherwise we can always hope to stay in no mans land with Rivers and co.

I agree that its a lateral move, but that's the whole point. Sometimes a change of scenery will help. At the end of the day, all 3 fan bases are disappointed with their starting QB so we might as well stir the pot and see what happens. It's better than sitting still and HOPING for change.

At least no one mentioned about trading Rivers for Brees.

How about financing organized crime? Rivers has been accused of that how many times?

Lying to a grand jury, and impeding an investigation. Surely Rivers has done that, right?

Prison time? Who's done more? Rivers or Vick?

What's Rivers' parole officers name? I know his jersey number, but what's his DOC number?

You can have all that "let bygones be bygones" crap. Vick is a scumbag, and I don't want him nowhere this locker room. Ever. He can stay in Philly, and lie his way through some more SPCA and PETA commercials.

Vick? Hell no.

Other than that, I got no problem with it.
OMG -- I know this is from a few days ago, but I just saw it.

Pretty sad state of affairs with Rivers to read anyone thinking about a trade for either Romo or Vick. It sure is not easy being a Charger fan.
