But i disagree that we really need to pick a OT first round. Whoever we get is likely going to be a RT who is moved to LT in case of Injury. Those guys are almost never worth a first round pick. When Gaither's healthy, he's a top OT in this league, there's no doubts about that. Gaither has a tough time with his back, and pulling his groin just sets him back further. He shouldn't have lingering problems for his groin, and it seems like he's over his back injury.

Aboushi i wouldn't take till the 2nd round anyway.

Two clear cut needs are OT and CB, but i'm not comfortable taking a RT that early.

1. There are some starting LT capable tackles in this draft, but they are almost exclusively guys who will be gone by the 2nd round. Your statement holds true for anyone we take in the 2nd (probably anyway). There are a few 2nd round guys who might be able to hack it, but I haven't seen enough film of them yet to say one way or the other.

2. Gaither cannot be relied on. He has shown that this season. Fool me once, fool me twice sort of thing. If we rely on him again for the next season only to have his phantom injuries flare up and have our season tank, that would be a severe lack of planning.

3. I'm a big fan of Eric Fisher.

The only way we'll do something in the playoffs (wild card at 10-6) would be if Gaither was healthy. Not sure that's something anyone can depend upon at this point.

Alexander looks pretty baller. Yikes on Meachem and Royal.

Regardless, if they lose next week, I'm on board with losing out, sadly.

I would like to see us draft a CB; yet, i think getting a FA would fair much better. Getting rookie DBs ready to start hasn't exactly been our bread and buttah, or anyone's for that matter. LT for sure 1st round, i wouldnt be opposed to more Oline in all of the latter.

Year 2 for corners seems to be the light-switch year. Lots to learn at that position.

Did it concern anyone else that Hadnot blocked better than Green today?

Team should look at OT either side. You clearly can't count on Gaithers as his career shows. The biggest issue is that we stink on pas pro on both sides. If you could count on one side then you could help on the other.

The club needs to find another RB in the draft to help Mathews. They need to find out if the OC from Michigan is a player or they have to draft one as Hardwick is to long of tooth to count on much longer and we need a OG.

You can always find holes but right now those are the biggest needs I see. Rivers showed some grit today taking all those hits and he played much better in the 4th QT.

We have to get some OL help we have too!

Hadnot was much better, we need to upgrade at OG.

If we took 3OL in the draft in the top 3-4 rounds it would be fine with me.

I think it would be in our best interest to utilize free agency before we go that heavy on OL in the draft. A veteran or two would be a wise investment.
