You didn't hear the outcry from Dallas fans when Emmitt was let go that you heard in SD on LT. The Pats have let loads of people go unceremoniously through the years, from Teddy B., to probably Welker this coming year. It's "family" while you're on the team. After that, you're the enemy unless you retire.

I don't know how many fans you were talking to but I know at least one former Cowboy fan who hates them since they dropped Emmitt. I don't know that many Cowboy fans so I can't say that this was representative of the the sample but I wouldn't say there wasn't an outcry.

Also with the Pats even this week Bill Simmons was whining about the Pats not paying Vinateri.

Even if the Patriots did draft him, he could just as easily have been a bust for them as he has been for the Chargers. It isn't as though the Patriots don't have a history of drafting first round busts.

San Diego has 1 iconic player every 10 years or so that the city falls in love with and their respective team makes them the face of the franchise, it's not the player or the fans fault that we don't have a winning tradition loaded with star players.

Fouts, Gwynn, LT
