if we were to switch to a 4-3 then i'd look to him as a stop gap/a guy to split time with a rookie/younger guy. other than that, ill pass and use the money to get some help at CB or O-line.

Listening Eagles fans' opinions of him, he's a primadonna. SD would be a horrible city for him. It's subjective I know, but from their take on his demeanor, he was too busy trying to "look pretty."

No, all he does is get sacks in the Wide 9, a scheme we don't run. He can't play the run for his life, has attitude issues, and only succeeds with Jim Washburn. Hell no.

He's only ever had success in a wide 9 4-3 scheme. We don't run anything remotely close to that. And he's sucked this year.

He'll fail most likely. Never had success outside of a wide 9.

I read this am on Sporting news that Jason Babin was released by the Eagles. Babin is a 9 yr pro and a pro-bowler with 5.5 sacks this year and 18 sacks last year. He has bounced around a bit (Titans, Cheifs etc) but would come without a huge contract. Babin is 6' 3" and 267 and has played mostly in a 4 - 3 defense. Given our lack of sacks this year would he be worth taking a look at?
