Sign Tebow ASAP!!!!! On a serious note, did you not put any oline because there are no good ones that are FAs this year? Because that is probably out biggest need, and I was hoping we could address one of the oline positions in FA.

That's all the names that were listed in the article I was reading.
I'm sure there will be plenty more when the draft, and roster cutdowns come next year.

There are very few top tier free agents this season... But yes OL is the most important thing this offseason. With that said... as fan's I think with teh exception of the pacstud's of the world... fans suck at grading OL.

Needless to say… we aren’t going to get all of these guys. I am not a capolagist… and much of my commentary here can be defined as slightly educated if that speculation.
Despite his age I would LOVE to have Jackson come in here on a one year deal... with that his name recognition tells me he will get overpaid by someone and I don't want that to be us. If Mouton doesn’t show development, then a Butler Urlacher combo is intriguing... but I think he will stay in Chi town… or get paid more than we can offer. This isn’t a year we go big on defense… we have quite a few pieces there. Unfortunately, many of them are approaching the age of dirt. [quote=chargertom;4037232] Gregg Jennings - WR - Green Bay Santana Moss - WR - Washington[/quote Both look like good players... but with the money we already have tied up in the position I don't see it happening. I think we bank on the emergence of Brown next season. I need to look up the Meachem deal but I think we are stuck atm. I am not sure how much he gets paid at his age... Will he or Phillips be cheaper? Why am I thinking he is a 4-3 end and not a 3-4 olb? Would be fun but isn't happening… but man would it be fun. I think we make him an offer... it shouldn't be a very high one. Our DL has been a bright spot.. I don't think he is worth the gamble... age and money aren’t on our side. With that said... if he can play NT and come cheap it wouldn't be a bad move. But I think he is going to be too pricy. I am not sure how different FS and SS play... but a Weddle Ried combination sounds like fun... way to salary cap unfriendly fun. I know nothing about this guy, but our NT's are old... and our young guy's don't scream great player. Money tied up in the WR position... but I think he wants out of Cleveland... and who can blame him? I respect him as a man, but not as a football player. No thanks! And I don't want the circus tents that come with him. If he is an upgrade over Brown and cheap... sure. But I think he gets a better offer elsewhere. I would need to hear from someone more familiar with him who can speculate how he would play in our system. A backup on the vet minimum isn't a bad thing. Would be a lot of fun... Floyd, Welker, Brown, Alexander, Royal... but without an OL... he doesn’t offer much.

Richard Seymour didnt do squat for the Raiders but put him in between Liuget and Reyes that would make a monstrous DLine.

From the above list, I would LOVE to get:
Urlacher -- seems like having him in the clubhouse could be a great addition, not just for now, but for our young, solid, defense. Learn from a HOF'er, and all that. Cribbs -- there's a playmaker who can add a spark at any given time, from a multitude of situations.

I also would like Bowe. Because he sure seems to fit the bill for WR's that PR can throw to effectively.
Can you see Floyd, Alexander, and Bowe running their routes while Green / Rosario work from the TE position? That's a lot of big, strong bodies for PR to just air it out to. This is assuming PR will remain our guy for a couple of years, btw, which I assume he will. If you had a more surgical QB -- I'd stack that corps of receivers totally differently.

My dream would for us to get Kenny Phillips and Dwayne Bowe, but we all know that will be near impossible. Bowe will want too much money, and the Giants actually retain their stars unlike us. Just imagine Phillips and Weddle though. ![]()
